Mirage had always found himself fascinated with knights. Ever since he had first saw a movie about King Arthur and his knights, all dressed in shining armors, he had searched for information, videos and everything about them.

They were brave, loyal, honorable and mostly came from rich, noble families. Just like him.  He couldn’t help but admire their dedication in protecting the weak and saving those in troubles.

Mirage kept his fascination hidden, however; No one around the Ark would understand.

As time went by, the human communication network advanced allowing Cybertronians access to what was called the World Wide Web.

Years after they woke up on Earth he was browsing through his email account only to encounter the suspicious mail that’s topic said “Look at this, He could use your knowledge.”

The body of said mail contained link to a case about a man who was unjustly accused of murder. The man was poor and had no money for a proper lawyer.

Knowing all the ropes of legal procedures he used all his skills, knowledge in both human and Cybertronian law, and inherent cunning in handling politics to help the man. All charges were dropped.

The whole experience made him realize that now, using anonymity of the Web, he could became the knight he always wanted to be.

And so he fought for the week and protected innocent while dealing justice to those, who committed crimes so horrid, he had never dared think humans were capable of.

The mails like the first one kept coming, always finding new cases, always showing him those he could help.

The mysterious helper never signed his emails, but tracing it’s source brought him back to Autobot city.

Wanting to find the author of the emails, he inquired with Blaster, specialist with communication networks. The red mech smiled at him quizzically when he relayed his request.

At that moment Mirage realized - It was Blaster.

“Took you long enough.” Blaster smiled and Mirage couldn’t help smiling back, suddenly knowing he could trust the red mech, that he understood. How could he have missed it for so long?

“Why would you help me?”

“Every knight needs his squire.” Blaster shrugged and Mirage laughed.

“In service of his majesty Prime.”
