Laser fire ripped through the sky inches from his head as he ducked behind a rock, and there was only one thing he could think of to sum up the situation.

“Oh bother.”  He breathed the words quietly to himself.  Even if there had been another mech near him, they wouldn’t have been able to hear anyway with the sound of battle being so loud.

Since waking on this planet, any and all free time had been used to research the inhabitants and their culture.  Whether this was driving around with some of the other Autobots or reading various things on the human’s internet.  What caught the young gunner’s attention this week was a collection of stories about a small human named Christopher Robin and his little friend Winnie the Pooh.

Peeking over the rock, he quickly let off a few shots and ducked back down, managing to catch a seeker in the wing.

He still wasn’t quite sure what a Pooh was, however.  The stories said Winnie was a bear.  He could understand that, having done some research on what that particular creature was.  But the story also said that Winnie was filled with fluff.  Now, this caused a good deal of confusion, not knowing what fluff was exactly.  The poor mech took the question up to Wheeljack, thinking that he would know for sure.

Noticing that his rock cover was decreasing rapidly, he looked around and saw, off to his left, there was a large boulder right next to the wall of the canyon.  Glancing around the side of his current shelter, he saw that the Decepticons were distracted in another direction and sprinted to the boulder.

Wheeljack hadn’t known what fluff was exactly, either.  It wasn’t a pressing matter so he dismissed it for the time being.  He just liked reading about the adventures of Christopher Robin and Pooh-bear.

Rumbling shook the ground below him, though he couldn’t see where it was coming from.  Then he felt small pebbles hitting him from above, and looked up in time to see a large part of the canyon wall coming down towards him.  Only one thing came into his mind before the rocks hit.

Oh bother.

The next thing he knew, Bluestreak was in the med bay.  The lights were dimmed, save for the light that was coming from Ratchet’s office, and carefully propping himself on his elbows, Bluestreak realized he was the only mech in the room.

He could hear voices coming from the open office door and then saw Ratchet and Trailbreaker walk out and stop, conversing for a moment more.  Then Trailbreaker walked towards him and Ratchet stepped back in his office.

“How’re you doing, kid?” the larger warrior asked quietly as he sat himself on the edge of Blue’s berth.

The gunner lay back down, now realizing how tired he was.  “I’ve been better.”

“It took a good while to get you out from under all those rocks.  Everyone was worried about you.  Especially me.”  This last statement made Bluestreak smile.  “Everybody’s glad that you’re ok, though.”

“Well, I’m glad I’m ok, too,” the younger bot said, causing both of them to chuckle.

“Senõr Cranky Pants said I can’t stay too long, but I thought I’d read you a bedtime story before I left.”

“Bedtime story?” Bluestreak asked.  Trailbreaker pulled out a datapad from subspace and Blue saw that it was his.  He’d left it in his quarters mid story when the Autobots had gone out to battle.

“You don’t mind do you?” the black truck asked, holding the pad up.

“I don’t mind at all,” he replied, smiling and getting comfortable.  And with that, Trailbreaker started in on a particular bear being stuck in a rabbit’s front door.
