Summary: While out and about Brawl finds Warpath. Onslaught’s day just got a lot more annoying.
Warnings: Suggested body modification.
Rating: PG
Words: 587
AN: This ended up more cracky than shippy. For some reason Onslaught insisted I tell it from his POV.

When Brawl first entered his office, Onslaught didn’t notice. The gestalt leader was too preoccupied by Vortex touching him. Well, perhaps ‘preoccupied’ was the wrong word. The touches weren’t the strangely gentle ones that Vortex seemed to subconsciously adopt when he wanted to get Onslaught in the mood. Instead, they were the jabbing pokes the copter used to annoying the living pit out of Onslaught.

Ignoring was a better word for what Onslaught was doing to Vortex at that precise moment. In fact he was doing such a good job that not only did he not hear the door open, but he didn’t notice that the poking had stopped. It wasn’t until Vortex gave one of those strange little giggles that meant Onslaught would soon have something very hard to explain that Onslaught looked up.

His optics instantly landed on Brawl. The tank was hard to miss. However, Brawl was not alone, though Onslaught seriously doubted that the minibot had come of his own volition. This one was called Warpath if he remembered correctly. He was a strange looking ‘bot, if Onslaught did say so himself. Brawl was practically cradling him since the gun pointing out of his chest made carrying him any other way nearly impossible. Onslaught gave a long suffering sigh and put the datapad he had been working on down. Brawl was practically glowing.

“Why is he here?”

Brawl practically wiggled in happiness. “He’s a tank too. Can I keep him?”

“He isn’t a pet. If anything he would be a prisoner.”

Onslaught could practically see Brawl gaping for an answer even with his face masked.

“I’ll take good care of him?” Brawl tentatively ran a hand over the unfortunately placed and Warpath shivered.

Vortex slid off the desk but before he could get around the corner Onslaught grabbed him by one of the blades on his back and pulled him against the desk. Vortex gave a little purr and tossed what was probably supposed to be a seductive look at the other mech. Onslaught ignored him and stepped toward his larger problem. Vortex would keep.

“I don’t care what you plan to do, he is a prisoner. Take him to Soundwave to see if anything can be pulled from his mind.”

“Could always have fun first,” Vortex said as he came to stand just before Brawl. The minibot was trying to scramble down from his position in Brawls arm’s and get away. “I bet I could make it so that when he transformed the cannon went to his back just like yours. You could have a mini me.”

“Like that one movie with the guy from the past! We could have matching paint and everything!” Onslaught was starting to dread where this was going.

“Just like that, yeah,” Vortex said with an obvious smirk in his voice. The copter shot a look back at Onslaught. Retaliation, he realized, for not rising to the bait earlier.

“Can I?” Brawl asked, crushing the minibot to his chest in a sideways hug. Warpath was struggling harder now and giving of some of the most annoying threats and exclamations he had ever heard. The minibot and Brawl would be a match made in the pit.

With a sigh Onslaught shook his head. “Fine. But if this blows up in your face, it isn’t my fault.”

Brawl gave what could only be described as a squeal and, Autobot in tow, hurried out of Onslaughts office. After one last look Vortex followed with a definite sway in his step.
