G1 First Aid
I generally don't have any problems with following the rules, but then, I respect and trust the mechs that are in charge of making them. Rodimus, Optimus, Prowl, Red Alert, Ratchet...I know their rules are to keep us safe and healthy - always a good thing in my datapad! and to help the Autobots work as an efficient whole while still keeping an optic out for the rights and needs of the individual.
Of course, that doesn't mean I think rules should be followed blindly, to the letter in every circumstance. No rule, or rule-maker, is infallible, and sometimes...you just have to listen to your spark, make your own best decision, and face the consequences. Even some of the most essential rules of the medical profession. Do no harm. Doctor-patient confidentiality. I've kept my silence about a patient, and by doing so have done harm. I've also broken a patient's confidence because the consequences of not doing so were...unacceptable. *looks down at his own hands for a moment and sighs* They were my decisions, and I'll...just have to live with them. There's nothing else you can do. *laughs a little sadly, and then shakes himself, innate cheerfulness rising back to the surface*
Maybe one day I'll try breaking a minor rule, just to see what it's like. Show up late to a staff meeting or drive too fast down the Ark hallways (but only if no humans are around, and not very fast, because those speed limits are there for a reason!) . I understand some 'bots find it invigorating ^_~
