Slipstream receives Lockdown's comm, as she's nearly finished the higher-priority repairs. She has suspicion, that comes to her in retrospect, that Ramjet and Blurr were somehow amused, because she and Lockdown appeared too obviously a couple.
A sense of discomfort virtually flickers through her emotional subroutines. She doesn't like being tied down. She's just come to allow an exception for Lockdown. Being comfortable with the exception doesn't necessarily mean she's comfortable with others knowing all about it.
Not that she can do much about those two knowing.
//But you have all the best instruments!\\ She means every word of double entendre and innuendo, even if she's still mildly irritated that bots who are supposed to be her subordinate and sorta-enemy are amused be her. If she believed in gods, she'd say it was payback for how she'd antagonized Starscream for his choices. Loser.
Slipstream finishes her work, then transforms for the quick hop to the Death's head. The side door is open as promised.
Ramjet takes the pills, eyeing them suspiciously. He pokes at them, shrugs, then cautiously takes one. He holds onto the others, not about to take all of them. He doesn't know what they are and the only reassurance he has that they're safe is Lockdown's word. While Ramjet doesn't think the bounty hunter will poison him, he might try something else.
The pain pill kicks in quickly and he's able to walk into the ship on his own with just a bit of limping. Once on board, he looks around, half expecting something to shoot out and grab him and Blurr.
If he starts singing because of those pills, Lockdown, I swear, I´ll leave him here with you so that you have to suffer...
*snickers*
Remember, Seeker, you are too heavy for me to carry you home.
*watching Ramjet walking, and sighs again*
//See, you even agree ... You know that you don´t need to play the strong seeker around me, and don´t worry, I won´t fuss if it´s embarassing for you.//
*Hiding his own nervousness behind a mask of not-so-funny jokes, he eyes the ship with an anxious tension. It´s not a place where he would like to be held captive or even live in*
With everyone now gathered on the bridge, Lockdown wastes no time getting down to business. He removes an array of medical supplies from various drawers and compartments, some standard and some a little on the gruesome side. He lays them out on one of the two tables in a ritualistic and almost OCD fashion, taking the time to shine one of the blades. Once he's pleased with the preparation, he raises and expectant and almost conniving look to Ramjet, patting the second table and allowing the smallest of smirks to tug at his maw.
"Drugs kickin' in yet?"
It's an odd feeling, considering his recent behavior toward Slipstream, to invite a seeker to his table again, and while his victimized femme watches! Perhaps he shouldn't make such a show with his instruments of destruction restoration, but old habits die hard. He's communicating through the bond that there's nothing to worry about, but he also can't suppress a palpable discomfort with the situation that grows exponentially by the millisecond. He hasn't had anyone on his table since that night with Slipstream.
He loses the smirk then opens a comm call to his bonded.
//During this process, if you see or feel anything that ain't...right...Take me out. Like you did that night with your lasers. Knock my aft out.\\
Slipstream is standing with her back to the others, looking at the trophy shelves. Maybe she's avoiding the table. She receives the comm.
//Would have done it, without you asking.\\ Not that the asking is bad. It shows a fair amount of insight and determination. Good qualities, by her calculation.
She turns and looks at Ramjet. If she'd taken painkillers that night...it would have been bad. But she'd wanted to prove herself.
But, if Lockdown hadn't known he was inflicting pain, maybe he wouldn't have gotten so out of control.
"This will go fine," she says. The vocalization is just slightly too harsh to be wishful thinking, and just harsh enough to possibly be a command.
Ramjet snorts at Blurr. "Thanks. I won't remember that next time you're drunk." He nods in agreement to Blurr's assessment of Lockdown's ship.
Ramjet raises an optic ridge, wondering just what the bounty hunter thought he was going to do with all that. Because if it went beyond closing up that gash, he wasn't going to get to do anymore than think about it. Ramjet's talons flex a bit in anticipation. "No, they haven't."
Ramjet tilts his helm as Lockdown loses the smirk and Slipstream seems troubled. He senses trouble and pushes Blurr behind him, frowning.
"What's going on?" There's a slight growl in Ramjet's voice, something's wrong and he wants to know what.
right now, he feels more uncomfortable with the whole situation then he had ever before. Lockdown's behaviour, Slipstream's refusal to look at them and then Ramjet pushing him back.
"What´s up now? Ramjet? Something wrong?"
He is sure that this had been a bad idea. Given the bountyhunter's reputation, the shelves with the trophies and the obvious showing off of what had to be modified surgery tools, surely used to torture others.
That, combined with the noticeable shift in the mood makes him very uneasy.
"We could just leave, and ... well, the repairs can wait...?"
Looking from one seeker to the other, back to the bountyhunter.
And as the tension grows, the trophy collector is starting to think that may be best. Why risk the perfect peace he has found with Slipstream, and make enemies with her brother and the Autobot? He already has too many fragile alliances in Nexus. If he keeps creating more, it'll only be a matter of time before karma catches up to him.
However, this is also the perfect opportunity to redeem himself. To further prove to his lover that she can trust him. That he has power to control his addiction. If he can prove that to everyone here, that would be a trophy in itself.
Plus Ramjet would be indebted to him, which he likes the idea of.
"But what's the worse that could happen if ya don't?"
He gestures to everyone around him.
"I'm outnumbered."
He responds to Slipstream's comm.
//Once this all said and done, will ya do it later? Could be fun.\\
"Ramjet, it's all right. Blurr, it is. Lockdown and I just have memories of being here alone. Like, snuggling, and watching movies."
Slipstream can hardly believe she is revealing such fluffy things about herself. But, it's better than revealing anything bad happened. Lockdown had kinda been possessed at the time.
"Lockdown, just do the work...as soon as Ramjet is ready."
She returns the comm. //You can do the work. Then, work out your aggressions with me. Safely. We'll have a sparring match.\\
Ramjet's being careful to keep Blurr behind him. Specifically to keep himself between Blurr and Lockdown, since, if there is a threat, that's where he expects it to come from. //Nothing's wrong, and I know what.//
"The worst that could happen?" His talons twitch again. "I would be the only injured mech on the ship."
Ramjet turns his helm slightly to glance at Slipstream. "You can't lie better. If there was more than that, Lockdown wouldn't be laughing and you'd be complimenting him and telling him to keep talking." He shakes his helm. "Nothing's wrong."
"I don´t think that Slipstream would allow Lockdown to do something to you that you don´t want ... Or am I wrong there?" He looks at the femme, trying to read in her expression.
He pings her on a private comm.line: //Whats going on here, Slipstream? You and the bountyhunter are awfully tense, and it´s making Ramjet nervous and I can feel that he isn´t really comfortable with all this. The tension in here is so thick you could cut it with a butter-knife//
Gently reaching out and petting Ramjets back. //Stay calm, seeker ... no threat here for me, you don´t need to protect me// Knowing the seeker would most likely simply lash out if there is a threat to him, he tries to calm him down a bit.
He leans to look around Ramjet, now curious why the jet would be so protective. Does the blue racer have some ultra elite speed enhancing mod that makes him an easy target for collectors?
He refrains from saying anymore outside of the comm line with Slipstream, figuring his comments could only increase the tension. It's not like his word would be any good to Ramjet or his mate.
//I trust you aren't gonna chose right here and now to enlighten your bro 'bout our...history.
...
and sparrin' later sounds (he bites back a smile)...fun.\\
"Just because something may seem tense or wrong - even be wrong - doesn't mean it has anything to do with you. Apollo Quetzalcoatl! Can we just get this over with?"
She steps closer and pats Lockdown's right arm once. "Watch. He'll say something about getting me all riled up, and I'll tell him to blow it out his pipes."
She focuses on Ramjet. No fake smile, just willing him not to pry.
Ramjet sighs. He doesn't get the reference, but assumes Slipstream's talking to him. "You aren't my sister."
She's acting more like herself now. He decides to drop the issue. If it was really important, she'd tell him, right? Walking forward, he's careful to still stay between Lockdown and Blurr. "Not ready, I guess."
Ramjet does notice that Lockdown's trying to look around him and gives a slight warning growl. Not a threat yet, but a clear message to back off the Autobot.
//Stop growling, love. He isn´t a threat. Neither you, nor Slipstream would allow something to happen, kay? Just relax, get up on that med-berth and let him weld your wounds, then we can go home, and you don´t need to be so tense anymore//
"Just let´s do that." Putting some cheerfullness into his voice, he claps his hands and gently shoves the seeker forward. Simply ignoring the others looks, he shrugs as an answer to Slipstreams outburst.
He turns and smiles at Slipstream, slyly brushing his fingers over her hip.
//You know I love it when you're riled up.\\
When Ramjet states his readiness, it takes an impressive measure of self control to shift his attention from one jet to the other.
"Bout fraggin' time."
Moving closer to the table, he pats it once more. Blurr's shift in demeanor is very welcoming, and amusing too, seeing how it probably irritates Ramjet.
