Prompt #23 - Quality of Service
*With repairs to Perceptor proceeding apace, Rodimus Prime can spend more time away from the Nerdlab, yet he never strays too far and continues to recharge there. It's evening now, almost his self-imposed bedtime, and Rodimus is sitting just outside working on his datapad. The weekly prompt comes in with an audible ping, and the Prime lifts his head with a crooked smile.*

Quality of Service
I admit it - mine hasn't been too high lately. I abandoned my Autobots, and Silverbolt and Perceptor paid the price for it. Maybe Drift and Fireflight too. I'm sure they'd all tell me that the whole mess wasn't my fault, but I could have noticed Perceptor was in trouble if I hadn't been a million megamiles away. Maybe I could have stopped it and maybe I couldn't, but we'll never know, will we? As it is, all I can do is be here for those that were hurt, and regret that someone died.
The hell of it is that being a good - okay, decent - okay, passable leader to the Autobots is important to me. For various reasons, I owe it to Optimus Prime to look after his Autobots as well as he would have. When I inevitably fall short of that, I've let him down too. It would have killed him to see what his mechs were suffering because of my inattention.
I know I'll be seeing him in my nightmares tonight.
*Rodimus puts the datapad down and draws one knee up to his chest, delaying going to bed for as long as he can.*
