Prompt #22 - Hope

*It's not the first time Rodimus Prime has been awake at stupid o'clock in the morning for no particular reason. Unfocused restlessness has driven him out of his berth into the dim light of pre-dawn, pacing around the grounds of the Nerdlab for lack of anything more constructive to do with himself. For once his broken vocalizer is a blessing,

Fireflights not up early he, uh, just didn't sleep last night. Flying for a few hours usually fixes this but there aren't enough of his brothers around to make his feel relaxed enough to drift off.

As the sun starts to peek over the horison he spies the familiar shadow of Rodimus on the ground. Landing quietly a little way away he sneaks in close and playfully attaches himself to the bigger mechs waist.

"Mornin' Roddy~"

*Rodimus doesn't even startle when Fireflight hugs him. Nice try, little jet, but Prime-senses spotted you coming a mile away.*

//Hey, you.// *wraps an arm around him, snugging him close* //You having trouble sleeping too?//

"Yeah, just a little." he purrs happily at being allowed Prime hugs "at least i get snuggle times if i'm awake early."

Fireflight snickered and waggled his wings playfully.

*Fireflight is always allowed Prime hugs. Prime is a huggy Prime.*

//I can't think of many reasons to be awake this early, but snuggle times definitely qualify.// *grins*

Huggy primes are the best kind!

"Good, processor keeps playing tricks on me while 'm rechargin' though" he huffed and nuzzled under and arm. It was a little cold out this morning.

*Then he will continue to be a huggy Prime. Rodimus nestles him close, sharing his warmth with the jet.*

"Bad dreams" he purred happily at the warmth and relaxed "and I keep wakin' up whenever 'bolt moves."

Oops, congratulations prime. You now have a lap full of purring, gloopy jetling.

*Oof. Um. Well. This was unexpected. ...Not at all unpleasant though. Roddy keeps stroking, since Fireflight seems to like it.*

//Feel like talking about it?//

"Was what happened when i was in bolt's processor" he purred quietly and stretched "there was an evil silverbolt in there."

//...ouch. I'm sorry.// *Rodimus purrs his engine at Fireflight, trying to comfort him.*

"It's ok. Just bad dreams now" he snuggled in close and hummed happily.

*He can't voice it, but Fireflight can probably feel the chuckle vibrating through Rodimus's plating.*

*settles in and cuddles quietly, perfectly content*

"Yeah. Hope you get better soon too" he nuzzled at the primes silent vo-coder before curling up happily.
