Prompt: Well Being

 TFA Lockdown

The welds on his newly-replaced plating had hardly settled before the bounty hunter was up and out the door of the medbay. He had a bad case of cabin fever and needed to get out, promising Slipstream, Ramjet and the medics he would return with some of Fireflight's gourmet take-out. His internals were still too damaged to transform, so the muscle car was sentenced to traveling on his own two pedes and a medbay-issue cane. It was clearly not his preferred method of transportation, yet he knew he could still pull off "badass" with a limp, just like that doctor dude from TVSquishy.

It was refreshing to hobble down Nexus's main drag after being confined to a berth for the past couple solars. His first stop had been his ship, specifically his trophy shelf. He had a fine selection of replacement appendages, but he went with a hook again--a gold one this time--which, he noticed immediately, sparkled impressively under the morning sun's rays. It was a pleasing sight, and Lockdown savored it's spirit-lifting effects because he could feel deep in his spark that something was off. Nexus always seemed to balance the good with the bad, and since Slipstream's awakening was indeed a good thing, there had to be something bad around the corner. Would the doc survive his broken bond? Would Slipstream's shard be able to recover her? What ever came of the mission into Swindle's cave? Had everyone come out of that alive and intact? These questions were all nagging in the back of his mind, but he made his best attempt to ignore them. Worrying never solved anything, and besides, he needed to keep his spirits up for the sake of his own well being.

Speaking of lifted spirits, Annie was perched cheerily on his shoulder, whistling a swashbuckling jingle. One would have to be completely sparkless not smile at such a thing.

"Well ain't you feelin' all bright n'peachy this mornin'."

She squawked joyfully in response, bobbing her head from side to side.

"Oh right. You're still on that sugar high. You know Sari ain't gonna be pleased that you raided her cookie stash. If I were you, I'd be thinkin' up a good alibi."

The bird tilted her head and gave him a charming wink. Lockdown had no doubt who she learned that from.

"Cute. But I'm the only one that can pull that off. Get your own trademark move."

If parrots could facepalm, Annie would be doing exactly that.

(ooc: wide open post. =) The hunter is limping his way through town and obviously in a decent enough mood to be approachable. His mun is swamped with homework though, so tag backs may be delayed.)
