(Takes place after the events of
this thread. I'm going off the assumption that Fireflight and Air Raid took Silverbolt with them. :B)
IDW Perceptor
To say he was disappointed in himself would have been an understatement. Perceptor felt like a failure. Not only had he allowed his counterpart to get taken in the first place but he hadn't been able to get to him in time to stop the horrible amounts of torture that the scientist had suffered at the hands of Swindle. And it hadn't just been Percy but Silverbolt had suffered as well. And then Jazz...
Needless to say, Perceptor had done much talking to anyone since they had gotten home.
All of his time now was devoted to fixing Percy, no matter what it took. His frame was a wreck and ultimately Perceptor made the decision to design an entirely new one for him. It was going to be a long process but Perceptor knew what he was doing; it wasn't the first time he had done a major frame overhaul after all.
Seated beside his damaged counterpart as he did a scan of his vitals, the sniper was barely aware of one of another prompt message appearing on his HUD. It wasn't until a small alarm went off that he came out of his zone, optics flickering as he accessed the message then let out a forced laugh.
"Adventure hm?" he murmured, looking down at the prone form of his counterpart as the machines set up around him worked on detoxing the Energon that coursed through him and supplied him with fresh in return. "I suppose one could call the events that just transpired an adventure but I would rather not dwell on it anymore than I have to." Optics flickered again as he lifted a hand and gently took ahold of one of Percy's. "My time with the Wreckers..now that has been a true adventure. More ups and downs than one could imagine, twists that none of us expected...gains and losses that have changed us all..." He trailed off for a moment, his thoughts going to Topspin and Ironfist before he shook his helm to clear those thoughts, resting his other hand over its mate and Percy's as his optics dimmed. "Happy endings...they are few and far between when one is associated with the Wreckers...though I hope to change that this time."
One of the monitors beeped, snapping Perceptor out of his thoughts as he glanced at it, noting with a small flicker of relief that everything was processing as it should. But there was still that hint of worry lingering in the back of his processor, for even if they got all of the tainted Energon--the drug--out of Percy's system, there was still going to be the withdrawal that they other would go through, the need to have the drug.
It was going to be a long, long road.
