This happens between this thread and this one
Swindle departs from Chromia's shooting range, transforms, and heads in the direction of the caves, in the uncomfortable knowledge that he really does have to sort this situation out.
He can't feel his sparkmate any more, has no idea whether he took his advice or not and ran for it, and really no idea whether the 'danger' he went on about was real, or just a drug crazed fantasy. As he rolls, he tires to rationalize, remembering the sensations of craziness which came through the bond.
What happened - I reckon - he's there 'facing with these Autobots, and these others threaten to show up - jealous sparkmates and the like - and it sends him off his head.Zydrate can do that - make you paranoid. Well - that's what could have happened. If it's not all just a fantasy within his own processor.
Swindle doesn't want to think about either possibility. And he chooses to ignore that feeling he had earlier that this was all his fault.
Talk about fun and games! Well I don't really wanna go there. Don't really wanna find what I think I'm gonna find. But no - I have to help him. he's my sparkmate. And I do love him ...
It hurts, badly, to think like that. So Swindle does what he's now learned is the most effective way of dealing with painful thoughts about the sparkbond. He thinks about the gestalt instead.
And screeches to a halt in his tracks.

I left him in the house in the forest! Alone! I mean - sure - I left enough energon there too. But I said I wouldn't be long. And what if Cyclonus shows up? I'd better at lease comm him and tell him I've just got a few issues to sort before I can get back there!
Probably better let Blast Off know what's happening too. I mean - I doubt that I'm gonna find anything here except ....
