Chromia is in a less than stellar mood and, in essence, rather fragged off. But having just realised that one of her favourite spots in the whole of slagging Nexusville has been completely burnt to a smouldering heap can do that to a girl. So much for her regular watering-hole anyway...
'Fragging lighting. Couldn't have just hit a little east of the

Things had been getting extremely taxing as of late and Perceptor had taken to disappearing more and more often just to get his head on correctly. Sure he still made certain to keep tabs on all the residents of the 'Nerdlab' and he was constantly working on his project to help Kup...but it was definitely taking its toll on the sniper.
It was during one of his excursions away from the lab that he stumbled across the shooting range just as Chromia began letting out all her frustrations on the targets, an optic ridge arching as he just watched in silence for a moment.
She was good, very good.
His hand absently twitched as he glanced over his shoulder at that rifle resting comfortably on his back. The urge to clear his processor via practicing was growing and he finally gave in, moving further into the shooting range as his optics sought out one of the empty stalls that seemed favorable, the sniper moving towards it.

With a heavy ventilation and shoulder roll she gave the cannon a small shake to let it cool off. Only then, did she notice Perceptor.*
Oh, hey. *Gives a slightly awkward grin* Heh, sorry. I was... ugh, distracted. *Offers an idle flop of her hand towards the smoking targets*

Glancing over at the femme as she finally noticed him, the sniper had just been pulling his rifle off its mount on his back, bringing it around to hold it carefully in both hands.
"No need for apologies. Trust me when I say I completely understand," he mused with a faint smile, head tilting just a touch. "Is it safe to assume that you are in charge of this place?"
Reply
Safe enough, fella. *Quirks a slight grin, optics dropping to her cannon's energy meter.* Name's Chromia. You?
Reply
"Designation Perceptor. It is a pleasure to meet you, Chromia," he replied with a half bow of sorts, optics flickering. Her frame style seemed vaguely familiar to that of one of his counterparts...
"Would it be alright if I were to join you?"
Reply
*She nods once towards towards the range, offering a crooked smile.*
Sure. Pull up a firing point.
*Her optics drop to her cannon's energy meter. 'Halfway charged. Another klik should do it.' She then glances back up, looking slightly thoughtful.*
Hunh, Perceptor eh? *Gives a short chuckle* You're probably a scientist then, yeah?

Nodding his thanks, Perceptor did just that, optics flickering down towards the targets as he started to get his bearings for the place, targeting optic gleaming.
Her next question makes him pause, the sniper in the process of lifting his rifle a bit higher to settle it against his shoulder.
"...I was, yes. I still experiment here and there but I am mainly in the field anymore. A sniper, much to Kup's entertainment."

Huh, no kidding. Far as I know the Perceptor where I'm from is primarily a science-guy. Don't think I've ever seen or heard of him being in combat before.
*She raises one shoulder in a shrug, optics flitting back down to her cannon.*
Then again I don't know him too well. Just that he's essentially a genius... Who goes on a tangent. A lot. And uses very big words.

He can't help but chuckle a bit, a fond sort of look entering his optics.
"Yes, that particular counterpart of mine does have quite the habit of talking alot. But he usually has a reason for it. I suppose after working with Blurr though, a talkative bot hardly bothers me," Perceptor mused in a thoughtful manner as he looked towards the targets again, running some more numbers with his targeting optic as it focused.

So, at the risk of being deemed Captain Obvious, I'm guessing you're a sniper?
*A succession of rapidly fired medium-sized rocks erupt from the projectile launcher's barrel. Her optics zero in on each one before releasing six powerful photon blasts from her cannon.*
Reply
"Yes," he replied, short and sweet as he watched her take her shots then took three of his own. Targeting optic zeroing in on his goal, Perceptor took the shots, three in succession, watching as two of said shots hit dead on while the other veered slightly to the right.
Calibration still needed work.
"An..incident that happened during one of the missions I was one persuaded me to change the way I was going about things. Upgrades were in order I suppose one could say."
Reply
Won't press for details. *Her free shoulder raises in an idle shrug* Always better to be combat ready in war though. *She then snorts a short laugh* Plus, there never seems to be enough skilled snipers around when you need 'em. Never hurts to have one more.

"Very true. Though, I must admit, my time here has been rather nice. It is been too long since I was able to just be a scientist again," he mused, refraining from rambling too much so as not to bore the femme as he took another round of shots at the next series of targets.
"Snipers do seem to be a rare breed. I cannot say that is the reason I chose that particular area but I am glad now that I did."
Reply
*She gives her helm a brief shake and unloads four more shots into the projectile targets.*
So, how's Kup been keepin' anyways? Haven't seen the ol' fella around lately.
Reply
"I believe we all are on some level," he replied, watching as she took the shots.
"He is..Kup. And I mean that in the best of ways, of course. He has been rather reclusive lately, at least that is the way it seems. If you ever feel like catching him, try the laboratory. He likes to lurk around that area."

Laboratory huh? He a closet scientist or something?
