Hello Bumblebee, Spike.

Pleasure to meet you as well. And as they say, many servos makes light work.

*Laughs and takes out the datapad that contained new and upgraded drawings of what he had down last time*

What Prowl said. So how are we gonna start this? I brought some sheet metal, and I know where I can get more.

*hops up and down trying to see the datapad*

Well, Bee and I have been measuring off the logs. He's been cutting them and I'm notching the ends so they fit together. Is the sheet metal for the roof?

(Bee's mun is still asleep I think, but I'm up XD)

*lowers it down so Spike could take a good look at it.*

It could be. Or we could use it to reinforce the walls. Like ah said, I can get more real easy.

(ooc: good morning~ it's evening for me and prow-mun)

*looks the plans*

That looks awesome. Simple enough that it should come together easily. And I think reinforcing the walls makes a lot of sense. I'll keep on notching the logs over there, and stay out of the way of large moving stuff. *grins*

a gnat just landed on my keyboard o.O death_hendry June 5 2010, 14:44:15 UTC
*peers over Jazz's shoulder, taking in the critical details of the build, noting that it seems a very easy and functional design, but he isn't well versed in organic materials*

How long does it actually take for wood to decay? I mean i assume it must be fairly durable if you use it frequently for building, but i've seen it breaking down quite fast in it's natural state. Are you sure you wouldn't prefer your dwelling to be all metal?

((Its 12:30am for me, bed soon))

A gnat? I hope you aren't referring to me XD femme4jack June 5 2010, 14:57:55 UTC
Ummm...what do you think, Bee? When I think cabin, I think logs. These are cedar, so they do really well in the elements, and as long as we make the eaves have a large enough overhang, I think it will do fine. The climate here is pretty temperate. But, metal is fine, too.

((ooc nighty night))

"I'm thinking we use the wood to build the house, reinforce it with the metal then do another layer of wood extra protection and support that way

That's a good idea. An all-metal house would probably be too hard to keep at a comfortable tempertaure for humans I think. *jots down a note about using metal to reinforce the wood on the datapad*
