**Lounged out on the couch, as he was wont to do from time to time, the golden mech was working on yet another sketch on his tablet. A small feline like smirk gracing his features today**
There’s plenty of fun and games floating around…Sparring with Sideswipe’s one of my favorites, he’s actually gotten better at fighting instead of me knocking him on his aft every time. Which admittedly was fun, but after a while it got boring. I mean, what’s in a win if you don’t have any challenge to it? An empty victory, it means nothing.
Had quite a few of those back when Sides and myself were dragged into serving with the Autobots… *pausing in his sketching, he subconsciously rubs the red symbol on his front for a moment before going back to his picture* Frontliner training; tough, brutal, and overall vicious. Best fun I had in a long while back then…Feh I sound like that old geezer Kup…
We had a sort of “gladiatorial” match for training…except you couldn’t really ‘kill’ the other bot. Our training officers made a big game out of it, made it feel more like overzealous sparkling roughhousing than training. Whoever racked up the most wins during a period of time got a bonus ration of energon. Things always got pretty violent though, and I know that on more than one ocasion the medical team about had kittens they were so pissed at our condition. *snickers and stops in his drawing again, lifting his stylus and thoughtfully tapping it against his lips*
The best fight I’ve ever been in though, was with some heavy that wasn’t quite heavy enough to be one of those walking walls, so he got stuck in our division. Acted as dumb as a rock, except when it came to fighting. Only other mechs I’ve seen as vicious as him at the time were the ‘Cons. That was one of the best victories I've ever had, fought harder than I usually do to win it. I’m pretty sure he clocked me in the helm at some point, I don’t remember too much from the fight aside from a few of the others helping me to a wing in the med bay.
I nearly had my arm ripped off, several support structures cracked, broken optic…leaking energon somewhere. I remember Sideswipe coming in and he asked me what happened… *pauses and looks amused as he thinks* Somebody had answered, “It was a training accident.” *snorts* The last conscious thing I told Sides before falling into a medical induced stasis was, “You should have seen the other guy.” *chuckles then frowns*
Of course after that particular training exercise, the higher ups stuck their noses into the training regimen and we weren’t allowed to play our gladiator games anymore. Fraggin’ command staff ruined our fun. *pouts like a spoiled sparkling before sighing and going back to his sketching*
