IDW Sideswipe
*Where was he? He needed to find his brother, before something terrible happened. He just felt, deep within his spark, that pull; his brother needed him (even if he had been shutting him out since the incident on Earth). He was outside wasn't he? He needed to get outside.
Violent tremors shook the compound to it's very foundation, throwing him off his peds and into the wall. The collision threw his gyroscopic sensors offline for a moment and he struggled to his peds, stumbling for the balcony outside. A plume of orange flame and smoke billowed outward from the ravine, debris raining down on those still at ground level, crashing into the platform he was still standing on.
His intakes hitched as his optics focused in on the jagged edge of the bridge, that pull he'd felt earlier - it was urging him in that direction. Something told him Sunstreaker had just been there! But why? Why was- then it all clicked, suddenly becoming painfully clear in his processor.*
Sunstreaker!
*Lurching forward, he vaulted over the edge of the balcony, heedless of the drop to the ground below. Landing with a strut jarring thud he broke into a run, shoving Autobots out of his way as he struggled to reach his brother. Suddenly something grabbed him from behind, preventing his headlong flight into into that black abyss looming just ahead.*
No! Let go of me!!
*He screamed then, a spark shattering sound of anguish and misery. Pain bloomed in his chest and he felt his whole world collapse into a single point of light, darkness tunneling inward around him.*
SUNSTREAKER!

*Back resting against a tree with his brother using his lap and part of his midsection as a pillow, he let out a sleepy sigh, the only sound coming from the tributary not too far away from them and the quiet sounds of Sideswipe's recharging systems.
While he liked...well maybe not like, more put up with...the Shack and it's residents, he still didn't like being inside. Brought back too many memories of being trapped with the humans back on Earth. Being outside in the organic stuff, while not the best thing around, it was better than having the walls seemingly close in on him. He was tired of having that happen at every moment he was solo in the Shack. Feeling his systems start to cycle down for recharge, his arms circled close around his twin.
Sensors detecting a shift in air pressure and humidity, he blearily onlined his optics and looked up at the darkened sky. A storm off in the distance, could cause them problems outside. However his twin was sleeping so peacefully...
Sighing, he turned his attention to the sky. Flinching slightly at the rumbling from the storm beyond, he frowned as Sideswipe started squirming in his lap. The light breeze from earlier had turned into powerful gusts of wind... he wasn't so sure if being outside was all that pleasant anymore. Jerking instinctively as a branch tumbled out of one of the trees close by, he hissed at it warningly even if it was non-sentient. Glaring at the foliage as more branches continued to crash to the ground around them, he kept a tight hold on his twin, this was rapidly becoming not so peaceful. Stupid nature...
Of course that would have been a lot easier if his red idiot wasn't pushing against him in his recharge. Arching an optic ridge as the Lambo in his lap was mumbling something, he reluctantly sat up, staring down at his brother. Something wasn't right...*
"SUNSTREAKER!"
*Okay, that grabbed his attention. Sideswipe was definitely dreaming and it wasn't a good one. Shaking his brother, he called across their bond as well as aloud*
Sides! Sideswipe wake up!! Sides!! I'm right here!! It's just a dream! Come on wake up! We need to get out of here...
IDW Sideswipe
*Jerking awake at the sound of his brother's voice, he looked up at Sunstreaker, optics pale and unfocused, intakes panting furiously. He was still just waking up and even though he appeared to be fully online he wasn't quite there yet. With a cry he sat up and threw his arms around Sunstreaker's neck, squeezing the golden mech tightly, his entire frame trembling.*
Don't... you ever do that again! Ever!
IDW Sunstreaker
*blinking a few times at his brother's startled awakening, he let out a soft cry of surprise as he suddenly found himself with a face full of Sideswipe. Crooning softly, he wrapped his arms around his brother again, looking more than a little confused*
I...yeah, sure Sideswipe...I won't ever do that ever again...
*tightening his arms around his twin, he nuzzled the red mech affectionately before pressing a light kiss to his brother's cheek*
Hey...it's getting kind of stormy out here...we need to get back to the Shack...
*huffing at the darkened sky above them, he picked himself up off of the ground, pulling Sideswipe with him. Whatever it was his brother was worried about would have to wait...they needed to head inside right now before nature got the best of them both*
[OOC: Prompt post with
evil_artster (IDW Sunstreaker) and myself;
kitemasquerade (IDW Sideswipe). This was actually written a few days ago, I'm only just now getting around to posting it up. Poor Sides, ever since the earthquake he's been having some difficulty recharging; all that ground shaking's triggered some rather unpleasant memories. Anyone's welcome to bother them, but just be aware that you may or may not get a very friendly welcome from twitchy lambos. ;p]
