Summary (by author):Knock Out is a freelance medic-- he works alone and he likes it that way. But when he finds a corpse that isn't as dead as it ought to be at the bottom of a pile of bodies, it puts his entire careful operation at risk.

The Squee: Worldbuilding and headcanon which are seamlessly integrated into character are highlights of this story. The characterizations are solid, and these are Decepticons, for sure: suspicious, hostile, and hardened and yet still rounded and relatable. She's created a solid backdrop of the war, and the little details, such as Knock Out's salvage, add a depth not only to character but to the overall early-war world she's creating. Plus, one of my favorite Bayverse characters is a main character!
