1. Perceptor: Please… you know I can’t.
Beachcomber: Why?
Perceptor: M… my vow…
Beachcomber: *smiles softly* You made that vow of chastity in another life, Percy. I think you have held on to it longer than is healthy.
2. Perceptor and Wheeljack get it in their heads to bring the kiwi, passenger pigeon, and other extinct Earth birds back to life.
3. World of Warcraft/TF crossover. Ratchet had always wondered why Perceptor didn’t talk about his past ever. He didn’t expect Perceptor to turn out to not be Cybertronian in the first place. Amazing what a well-made illusion spell can do.
4. On its anniversary, Perceptor learns about 9/11.
5. Perceptor is pregnant with Ratchet and Wheeljack’s child. Now he’s trying to find the time to break it to them, and after that, to everyone else.
6. Perceptor, Ratchet, and Wheeljack’s first kiss with each other.
7. Perceptor, Ratchet, and Wheeljack all want to bond with each other, but none know how to bring it up with the others. This offers mechs like Jazz and the twins lots of laughs as they watch the ‘tech trine’ awkwardly try to figure it out.
8. Perceptor, Ratchet and Wheeljack were captured and imprisoned. Perceptor couldn’t stand the thought of the Decepticons torturing Ratchet and Wheeljack, so he said that he would bear their torture as well as his own. The result is critically painful for him, and he is denied any medical attention besides what little Ratchet and Wheeljack can do without tools. He doesn’t mind as long as they’re safe. They, however, mind very much.
9. Perceptor is a fire (or water) spirit.
10. Perceptor and Primus have a casual conversation about the mortals on the Ark.
11. Perceptor’s the Grim Reaper. (This sounds familiar. Did someone else put this one down?)
12. Someone catches Perceptor singing to himself. He’s really, really good.
13. ?: Why’re Ratchet and Wheeljack fussing over Perceptor?
??: They’re all bonded.
?: WHAT?!
??: They’re bonded.
?: When did THIS happen?!
14. Perceptor is a ghost, and he’s been since before the Ark mission. When someone discovers that Perceptor is dead, no one is sure what to think.
15. MV Optimus Prime and Animated Optimus Prime switch bodies. Then G1 Perceptor and MV Perceptor. Then Armada Blurr with Animated Blurr. Then G1 Wheeljack and Armada Wheeljack. Then G1 Ratchet and Animated Ratchet. Then everything just goes to Pit.
16. All aforementioned counterparts get stuck in one dimension and have to work together to get out.
17. Perceptor doesn’t like the ice and snow. Ratchet and Wheeljack don’t understand his aversion, so they start doing some digging. They discover that he has a good reason.
18. Optimus ordered that Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Perceptor all take a vacation. They’re cold and alone with each other. A conversation can lead to many things…
19. Ratchet and Wheeljack discover that Perceptor cuts himself… unnervingly often.
20. Perceptor. “The Voice” by Celtic Woman.
21. It finally came to pass that Perceptor’s reckless risk of his life for others kills/permanently damages him.
22. Spike: I think Perceptor just stole my girlfriend!
23. Perceptor accidentally walks in on Carly.
24. Ratchet and Wheeljack are dead, but they seem to be stuck in the mortal world. Perceptor is the only one that sees them and is convinced that he’s going insane. They realize that he really is slowly going insane, and now they have to try to save him and themselves. It doesn’t help that the Autobots are convinced of Perceptor’s insanity as well.
25. Perceptor is Primus in disguise and Skywarp (or any other Decepticon) is Unicron. This is not going to turn out well when one of them reveals themselves in battle. (Did someone already do something like this? This also seems familiar…)
26. When Perceptor, Father Time, went to the mortal world, he simply meant to make sure that time was running properly. When the Decepticons won the war and Ratchet, Wheeljack, Beachcomber, and the other Autobots he cared for were executed, however, he broke his own rule. He got emotionally involved and used his power over time to fix it all.
27. Perceptor is a mage.
28. ?: You two never were very spiritual, were you? Ratchet, Wheeljack, Perceptor died. But he didn’t leave.
29. Movieverse. Simmons went to the Autobot base for a routine inspection and to log any new arrivals into a database. He made the mistake of going into Wheeljack’s lab while he was working on something. There was an explosion, and Simmons was left as a toddler. The government was not so happy about it.
The government decided to send Simmons to a volunteer government family until Wheeljack figured out a way to turn him back. Since no one was friends with him, no one volunteered. Wheeljack felt horrendously guilty and convinced Optimus to let Simmons stay with the Autobots, much to the chagrin of everyone else. Surprisingly, the government agreed.
Simmons turns out to be a surprisingly sweet and well-behaved little kid. So sweet that he practically steals away the sparks of all the Autobots that take care of him for longer than an hour. Then Wheeljack finds out that the change is irreversible.
Wheeljack, ravaged with guilt, starts becoming more motherly and protective over little Simmons, but the government apparently thought that the Autobots had no business raising a human child long-term. They say that he has to either go to his real parents or into governmental foster care system.
Wheeljack and a few other Autobots volunteer to take him to his parents, using their holoforms as disguise. When they go there, however, they find that Wheeljack shows more concern and worry for Simmons than his real parents do. They vehemently refuse to take care of him unless they get a heavy monthly paycheck from the government, claiming that they ‘dealt with the squealing brat’ long enough, and they elude to his screaming during what sounds like vicious child abuse.
The Autobots, namely Wheeljack, and appalled and are now determined to keep him. They may be giant alien robots in a war that could crush a toddler with one careless misstep, but at least they cared about him, which was more than they could say for someone hired to take care of him or even his parents.
30. Perceptor is a female human due to a malfunctioning machine of Wheeljack’s. And then he encounters the bane of females. The cardinal. Mother Nature’s ‘gift.’ A woman’s unwelcome ‘friend.’
Periods.
31. Perceptor becomes/encounters/is the
Oracle of Delphi.
32. It started out with simply seeing other people in the mirror out of the corner of their optics, and then they all had odd and sometimes horribly disturbing dreams of being other people. Alpha Trion knew what was happening, though. The Mirrorverse, G1 universe, Animated universe, Armada, and all other alternative universes were coming together in one universe once more.
33. Perceptor is a shadow. He is a literal shadow that managed to change his appearance. When someone accidentally takes his disguise, he has a lot of explaining to do.
34. Perceptor’s vocal processor got damaged, and now he is alternating between Spanish, Ancient Greek, and Japanese, apparently without consciously meaning to. No one knows these languages. No one knows how to fix it. And everyone thought that he was hard to understand before…
35. One fall, Perceptor, still alive, gets trapped in
Hades. Hades cannot let him out on his own because he can’t risk him telling any other mortals the entrance, and
Persephone offers to take him with her next time she goes up to visit her mother, and, following her advice, Perceptor refuses to eat any food of the Underworld. He is getting increasingly unhealthy from the lack of food, and the Autobots above are beginning to give up on finding him and are starting to think him dead.
A. Persephone tricks Perceptor into taking her place as the wife of Hades, forced to go back every six months.
B. Hades takes a liking to Perceptor and forces him to eat a few pomegranate seeds.
C. Persephone takes Perceptor back up unharmed, but she has fallen in love with him.
D. Persephone takes Perceptor back up unharmed, but none of the Autobots believes that he’s really himself or that Perceptor’s alive.
E.
Athena goes down to Hades and encounters Perceptor. She falls in love with him. (He may or may not love her back.)
F.
Hecate feels like a bitch and decides to curse Perceptor with some nasty enchantment. (Maybe eternal life? Damnation to come back to Hades every [insert number of days/weeks/months/years/hours here]? Maybe damning someone or someones[hint, hint] to have to take his place in Hades should he ever leave?)
G. Hecate grows fond of Perceptor and now magically funny/dangerous things are happening to the Decepticons who attempt to harm him.
H. Perceptor comes back home and now he has
Furies following him around everywhere he goes.
I. The Gods think it would be fun to mess with the Cybertronians and their war.
J.
Aphrodite grows fond of Perceptor and gets it in her head to start messing with his love-and-sex-life.
K. All of the above! :D :D :D :D :D
L. Combination of any of the above.
36. The twins get into the ‘Mac vs. PC’ argument.
37. The Decepticons kidnap Perceptor so they can get information on the Autobots. When he resists the torture and the mind probe, they use an experimental drug on him. Then that is when the Autobots come to save him. Now, he seems perpetually high on the Cybertronian version of ecstasy, and now Ratchet and Wheeljack have to take care of him during the day and especially at night, where the drug seems to turn into LSD. Now he alternates between ecstasy for the day and LSD for the night and no one has a clue when it’ll wear off.
38. Perceptor is raped by two people and is convinced that it was Ratchet and Wheeljack. He has never felt so betrayed in his life, and he can’t bring himself to report them. They didn’t do it, though, and they have no idea why he is avoiding being with them, is being introverted and depressed, and seems terrified of them and the prospect of being alone with them. They try to ask him what is wrong, but he refuses to give them the time alone with him to ask. It gets to the point where he screams and struggles desperately if one of them grips his arm or restricts him from leaving in any other way.
39. Perceptor dies and is reborn as a human girl. Twenty-four years later, Ratchet and Wheeljack find out that he was reincarnated and that there was a chance that he could be restored. They start looking for him, but what they don’t know is that he’s grown up to be a femme fatale, and, more shockingly, a stripper/prostitute. He/she still has remaining pieces of his/her old self, but it’s not enough to remember his/her old life completely.
40. Perceptor has his soul stolen in a way reminiscent to a Dementor’s Kiss. Everyone is trying to figure out a way to fix it, but there may not be one.
41. Perceptor is a mermaid. After millions of years away from the water, he has to leave the Autobots secretly and go back home in his true form. He is reluctant, however. There is a merman back home willing to do everything-maybe even murder?-for his/her affections. And he/she fell in love with ratchet and Wheeljack. The medic and engineer have no clue about any of this, of Perceptor’s feelings or his/her true form.
42. Perceptor is turned into a water sprite and is trapped in a fresh-water spring. He can’t come out or he’ll die.
43. Perceptor is a femme in disguise. Ratchet and Wheeljack don’t know. And they walk in on her without her mech armor on (the equivalent of being naked). (Optional: Elita-1 and her troops were the only ones who knew about this beforehand.)
44. Perceptor is turned into an old human lady after running into a malicious sorcerer. He is cursed so that he must always speak in riddles, so when Ratchet and Wheeljack come looking for him and stop in front of his hermit cottage for a rest, he has to make them solve his riddles to figure out who he is.
45. Perceptor is bonded with Ratchet and Wheeljack, but then they’re captured by the Decepticons. Starscream gets Perceptor alone and offers to let them all go if he interfaces him, which he reluctantly does. Starscream keeps his word and lets them go, but Perceptor is convinced that he has betrayed his bonded by this act of infidelity and starts getting increasingly guilty, depressed, and withdrawn. Ratchet and Wheeljack try to find out what’s wrong, but he’s started avoiding them.
