Hmmm... Let's say Optimus keeps Bumblebee out of the public eye for his protection, so he isn't in danger being the creation of the Prime. Little Bumblebee even has a false identity to use in case he gets lost.
Maybe Bumblebee runs away and is found by Optimus' prospective mate, who (like everyone else on Cybertron) doesn't know what Optimus' sparkling looks like...

I don't know why it's not done yet, as it isn't my story. But it IS a good one, and I'm glad I shared it with someone else who apparently enjoys it.

Starscream is an easy target. Maybe, just for kicks, Skywarp would possess Soundwave. No clue what he'd do with that, but just the idea of Skywarp in Soundwave's body is pretty funny.

Chilling! Judging by voice alone, evil!Optimus would be WAY scarier than Megatron! (Peter Cullen voiced an "evil" character in an old TV show once...)

Well, I don't think I've ever seen something like that in the TF fandom, at least.
...Now I'm amusing myself trying to figure out which OP-love interest characters would teach Bumbles. Since he's the Prime's son and all, he could probably have a whole staff of teachers.
