1. Teletraan-1/Ark. Blame
norielit, not me.
2. After the ‘Bots and ‘Cons awaken on Earth, they make a disturbing discovery: during the day, the Decepticons turn to stone; at night, the Autobots do (or you could switch them around, if you like). When the sun (or the moon) rises and when it sets, both ‘Bots and ‘Cons are normal for a brief time.
Millions of years of this daily/nightly transformation have ruined their weapons, and no one can tell whether the mechs themselves are being somehow harmed when this occurs. To guard themselves against humans and natural disasters, each group must protect the other while they slumber - at least until they can leave Earth (which will take a while, since the two groups’ leaders and scientists can’t confer with each other for very long -an hour, tops- and half the time the Constructicons are ‘asleep’).
This could be AU: if Cybertron had a sun (or moon), it’s possible that this had always happened, except that on Cybertron they would turn into metal rather than stone - and of course, they’re already metal, they’re made of the same materials as Cybertron, so it hadn’t made a difference there.
3. Optimus is secretly obsessed with philosophy and debate. He thinks that if he could just sit a Decepticon down and have a thorough theoretical discussion, talking to him about their differing beliefs and values, he could convince them of the rightness of the Autobot cause. However, this is the first time that the ‘Bots have actually had a prisoner long enough for Optimus to finish all the extra work that a battle generates and make his way down to the brig for a little chat. And the (un)lucky victim of Optimus’ rambling is…
4a. All of the Transformers have a hidden alt mode - they’re Cybertron’s “cassettes”.
4b. Well, actually, not all of them. Most of the TFs are “cassettes” of Cybertron II, their current home planet. But some of them are “cassettes” of Cybertron I, before it was destroyed.
4c. And some of them aren’t Cybertronian “cassettes” at all - they’re “cassettes” of a different planet.
4d. And some of them aren’t even “cassettes”; they’re Primus’ or Unicron’s children, created to care for Cybertron (either I or II) and its “cassettes”. So they’re basically semi-divine janitors and babysitters.
4e. And the word “cassettes” is starting to look really weird, like it’s spelled wrong or something.
5. One of the bunny posters in this community is actually a Transformer. I guess you could make up a name if you don’t want to insult anyone (depending on who you pick, I would probably be deeply honored/amused if you used me for this bunny… and yes, that counts as permission).
6. The song
“I Won’t Say I’m In Love” from Hercules is sung by a character named Megatronra. (also, five muses… maybe you could get a gestalt team in there?)
7. Inferno has some sort of adventure WITHOUT Red Alert.
8. The Decepticons have discovered Bumblebee’s critical role in Autobot-human relations and he is now a high-priority target. Cliffjumper and Bumblebee have to switch paintjobs and roles.
9. Unlike the Stunticons, Aerialbots, Combaticons, and Protectobots, the Constructicons are a six-mech team. That’s because one of them:
a. Is actually a drone, with complexly-programmed responses to simulate a true personality;
b. Is the spark-twin of another member
c. Combines with the other five, but does not share in the gestalt bond - his mind remains separate from Devastator
d. Does not combine into Devastator at all, but uses Hound-like holograms to conceal himself and alter Devastator’s appearance so he looks like a six-mech combiner.
10. A member of a Decepticon combiner team is a closet pacifist.
11. What if every gestalt team must include the same basic personality traits in order to remain stable? i.e., the leader, the jerk, the peacemaker, the dimwit, the more independent personality, the troublemaker…
12. One of the Lamborghini twins is scared of heights. The other twin came up with the concept of ‘Jet Judo’ and convinced his brother to try it with him so he could get over his fear before it got him killed.
13. In his quest to become King of the Road, Motormaster kidnaps Optimus Prime, hiding him in a remote location and interrogating him to try to learn the secret to his road kingliness. Megatron orders the other Stunticons to ‘rescue’ Prime and bring him back to the ‘Con base. Optimus is forming a tentative plan to boost Motormaster’s ego enough to make him challenge Megatron and cause (more) rifts among the Decepticons. The other Stunticons beg him not to try it because even though they’re not exactly fond of Motormaster, they fear the effects of losing a gestalt member.
14. Teletraan-1 is secretly controlling a certain Autobot for his/her/its own purposes.
15. Omega Supreme tries to negotiate with the Insecticons for some of their controlling-shell thingies. (Three guesses why he wants them.)
16. Spike breaks up with Carly. In an untimely moment of frustration, Carly threatens to join the ‘Cons if he doesn’t at least sit down and talk things out with her. A lurking Cassette overhears and takes Carly’s offer at face value.
17. Shockwave led the group that chased Optimus and his crew to Earth, while Megatron stayed behind to manage Cybertron.
18. While on a patrol flight, Starscream spots one of those cliché old wise men meditating on a mountain peak and stops for a chat.
19. Wheeljack doesn’t cause the explosions. In fact, he has a hidden phobia of explosions. His devices would all work perfectly, if Perceptor wasn’t always sabotaging them. Because really, if everything worked the way it was designed to, then how would they ever learn anything?
20. Soon after they were created, one or more of the Stunticons gets a flat tire. They know that since the ‘Cons are short on vehicle-formers, the Constructicons are unlikely to stockpile tires suitable for their use. So, they decide to lie in wait on some little-used roads and ambush random cars until they’ve accumulated a decent tire collection.
21. After a typical battle (read: a loss), Megatron is irritated at the lax manuvers of the Coneheads. He orders that each member of the elite Seeker trine take a Conehead under his wing (so to speak) and train him. The Seekers get competitive.
22. A Dinobot coup! Grimlock is overthrown by…
23. Hidden deep in the ‘Con base is a large storage room which the Constructicons have claimed for medical and construction-related equipment and materials. As it turns out, the Constructies set aside the entire space just for Scavenger’s junk (because if they didn’t, he’d either leave the junk all over their quarters or he’d cry). Someone notices that the Constructicons actually just keep all their stuff in their quarters or the medbay, and goes to investigate their storage room. So, the unfortunate mech wanders in and gets lost amid the mighty towers of crap. Then someone else notices that he’s missing and goes looking for him… (Maybe there’s a portal to that huge Room of Requirement closet from Harry Potter in there! Boy, would Scavenger have fun with that room…)
24. Due to the effects of the Robo-Smasher, Devastator has no memory of his components’ tragic past with Omega Supreme. So, the big dummy goes and falls in love (either with Omega or a gestalt. Or both!)
25. Sometimes, all Ratchet has to do is glare at a wound and it will fix itself. Someone finally notices this.
26. “Slaggit, for the LAST time, STOP TALKING ABOUT YOURSELF IN THIRD PERSON!”
27. Megatron is slowly becoming overwhelmed by his responsibilities. He seeks to absorb the strength and charisma of the great leaders of the past. Through necromancy. (He could do it with or without someone else’s help. Maybe Perceptor would be interested? HAH. I said it before you could. Beat you!)
