Quadruple the Bunnies

Four times as many plotbunnies as my first post. Some of these were indirectly inspired by reading through many of the previous posts.

1. G1. An Autobot comes to Earth carrying a common Cybertronian virus. Most of them aren’t affected but the Autobots and Decepticons who came online on Earth have no immunity and the virus leaves them near death. Both sides struggle to save the afflicted mechs, maybe even joining forces to do so.

I’m thinking of the Cybertronian equivalent of chicken pox. If you’re exposed to it as a
child/sparkling, you get over it quickly but if you catch it as an adult, it can be deadly. Affected would be the Aerialbots, Protectobots, Dinobots, Stunticons, and maybe the Combaticons since their alt-mode vehicles are Earth-based?

2. In Transformers: Prime, Unicron was the core of Earth itself. What if this were true in G1 as well? Unicron awakens and decides to attack Cybertron. He somehow generates a force field over the entire planet to keep his structure intact and sets off for Cybertron with everyone on Earth in tow.
How far would the Autobots be willing and able to go to stop him and even if they did stop him, how would they get Earth back where it belongs? This could work in TF: Prime as well I suppose.

3. There are thirteen Matrixes, one for each original Prime. These have been handed down to successive mechs over the eons. There are always thirteen Primes who make up the Council and rule over the entire planet with different members being in charge of different aspects of society (medicine, economics, security, etc.) Current members include Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, Elita-One, Ratchet, and Ultra Magnus.

When Sentinal Prime is deactivated, his Matrix choses a naïve young archivist named Orion Pax. The newly christened Optimus Prime finds himself thrust into a complex world of politics and intrigue. Some of the other Council members seem bent on winning him as an ally while others seemed to treat him with disdain. Worse yet, he begins to find clues that Sentinal’s death wasn’t as accidental as it seemed and there may be a much darker side to the Council than he ever imagined.

4. What if Cliffjumper was the first one to wake on the Ark instead of Skywarp? He takes the opportunity to go around deactivating as many Decepticons as he can before the others awake. When they do awake and discover what he did, would they be upset that he killed helpless mechs or would they consider him a hero for effectively ending the war?

5. The Nemesis is somehow destroyed while a small group of Decepticons are out patrolling. Now the few remaining ‘Cons have to decide whether to surrender to the Autobots or try to carry on a war where they’re extremely outnumbered.

I may actually try and write this one myself at some point but it won’t be anytime soon so if someone else wants to have a crack at it, be my guest. In my mind, it’s the Command Trine, the Stunticons, and maybe a couple of other random mechs who are left stranded but use whomever you want.

6. Something happens during an intense battle and Blaster and Soundwave either swap cassettes or one of them ends up with all of them.

7. Thundercracker is forced to spend some time with Dead End (both in medbay maybe?) They get to talking and discover they both have a lot in common philosophically. They fall for each other but Motormaster and Starscream are both not happy with the pairing and forbid them to see each other.

Alternate crack pairing: Starscream/ Dead End because someone needs to show my favorite Stunticon some affection.

8. An X-Men/Marvel fusion where all the Transformers are humans with superpowers. Optimus Prime gathers others with special abilities and trains them to use their powers to protect humanity. Megatron is a Dr. Doom-esqe tyrant who rules the isolated country of Kaon and recruits (forcibly in many cases) others with special abilities. The two leaders become bitter rivals as Optimus and his team consistently thwart Megatron’s attempts to take over the world.

9. “Attack of the Fifty-Foot Arcee.”

10. Prowl is concerned about mistaken identities happening in the heat of battle so he makes a rule that new Autobots have to find an alt-mode different from all the current ones. As the number of Autobots on Earth increase, someone is inevitably stuck with a really silly-looking vehicle mode (Ice cream truck? Golf cart? Segway? Rascal?)

11. What happens if two bots have the same name? After all, some choose their names (Megatron) and some change their name so what’s to stop some mech from showing up on Earth and declaring his name is Prowl? Would it end in fisticuffs?

12. A Person of Interest crossover. The Machine discovers the secret existence of the Transformers on Earth. With Root’s help, she constructs herself an artificial body and goes to join the Autobots. How will they react to the idea of a human-created AI in a robot body? She could maybe call herself Nightbird since her creator always uses bird names as aliases.

constructicons, cassettes, unicron, ratchet, combaticons, ultra magnus, crossover, nightbird, dead end, starscream, optimus prime, arcee, matrix, orion pax, cliffjumper, prowl, dinobots, stunticons, soundwave, megatron, thundercracker, aerialbots, protectobots, shockwave, elita one, nemesis, blaster
