De-Lurking with Three Rabid Bunnies
Okay, so, first time posting a bunny. I've taken a couple before, though. :D Anyways. Here goes...
So. We all know that when a mech is severely injured, Ratchet often bans him from transforming. One day, in a battle, Defensor (or Superion) is injured. Armor's bent, stuff is broken... and he can't transform into his component parts. Ratchet (for added difficulties, if it is Defensor, Ratchet's without his assistant) must repair the gestalt while they're/he's still combined. This leads to all sorts of problems; gestalt systems are very confusing, for one. Two, they can't fit him in the Med Bay, so they have to bring stuff outside to him. Three... Defensor's/Superion's personality gets a chance to develop as it never has before (this is sorta going with the idea that when combined, it's a completely different personality that comes forward). He makes friends. Actual friends. (Which would be very funny if it was with the minibots...)
So anyways. Yeah. Once he's been repaired, and can transform back into his component parts, he's a genuine member of the Ark. Not just something formed when the gestalt combines.

Another one:
I've kinda got to be a fan of the Optimus Prime/Megatron pairing. But I still love Optimus Prime/Elita-One. So...
What if Prime was bonded to Elita, but Megatron, who's decided he wants peace, demands one thing; the Prime's spark in a bond. Prime agrees while still on Earth -- then they get back to Cybertron, and the newly formed trine has to work things out.
One more before I go back to lurking:
I read a story a while ago where someone was contemplating a team of fighters, and he said something along the lines of "It's a good thing medics don't like harming people, because if they did, or didn't care, they'd make wonderful assassins." Because they know everyone's weak spots, right? They know how to best take out a mech.
So, the bunny; Ratchet and First Aid aren't just medics. They secretly are part of SpecOps. They're the assassins. The professional ones, the ones that are called in when other mechs can't get the job done.
Now, First Aid is often considered a pacifist. He encourages the belief, because Primus knows he doesn't want anyone other than Jazz, Ratchet, and his brothers to know.
But the SpecOps team decides it's time to end the war. Ratchet and Aid are sent to assassinate the big guy... and then Megatron is dead. And his death coincides with the time where Ratchet and Aid were at a "medical convention"... Except they weren't.
But now the armies know; they figured it out. And the medic assassins have to now deal with the fallout...
