Baby bunnies!
Yep, this is all kids, from newborns to early teens.
1. ”Mom, I know I’m probably going to regret asking this, but… Why did you bond with Dad?”
”Because he was honest enough to admit that at first he was only interested in me from the neck down. And then he was nice enough to get to know the rest before making a move.”
2. Sparklings grow. The same way as organics, or through series of upgrades, doesn't matter. There must be some sort of significant landmarks that kids hit at certain age, like humans shedding their baby teeth. What would be that significant change that would mark a cybertronian as a 'big bot'?
3. A secret hoard of stuff related to sparkling care is found. With some evidence that the items have been gathered recently and in a hurry. That can only mean one thing... Ratchet's gonna blow a fuse.
4. Bumblebee was confused. Why wasn't he supposed to play with these two new bots? Besides him and Bluestreak, there were no other sparklings at the base, and the adults were always busy, so he had been hoping for new playmates. They were even close to his size! But just when they started to have fun, Optimus and some other grown-ups had showed up, and were now yelling at the blue bot who he guessed must've been the other sparklings' creator. At least he kinda looked like them, they all had that same red visor.
5. If a member of a gestalt team has/adopts a sparkling, how do the newly activated parenting protocols affect his teammates? (Extra points if it's one of the Decepticon gestalts who have to find out.)
6. The Decepticons could only shake their heads in wonder and look at one another in that "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" manner. Before this, most of them would have bet that if their teammate ever found himself in the presence of a sparkling, the scraplet would be spread across the floor within breems. And yet, even as they watched, a tiny, silver-white servo curled around a finger that was thicker than the little one's whole arm. Another huge finger rubbed gently on the sparkling's abdominal plates, making the little thing squirm and squeal happily.
Even Megatron had to shudder a little at the sheer wrongness of it.
