Delurking with 50 Bunnies

Dec 24, 2009 15:09

When I first discovered this community a few weeks ago, I started writing down the bunnies as they came to me. I quickly became worried at how fast they multiplied. So I'm handing some of them off to you guys :)

14. Perhaps. I'm also betting on the writers not wanting to make too much more fanon.

24. True. Not a lot of huge post-movie fics out there with Rodimus. I'm sorta thinking about one, but it's a crossover and I'm currently rewriting it for the *checks* fifth time.

26. Really? Which option?

29. Given how some fanon denies that rape can occur (depending on what kind of sex the TFs are having), processor rape is possibly the next worst thing. I feel like even the Autobots would be disgusted a bit by it.

32. I'm having difficulty imaging it as a good TF, though. You'd brushing your teeth and then WHAM! Your face would explode D:

33. I would HATE to be the parent of one of those unholy terrors.

34. Pretty much, yeah. Except possibly the Sunstreaker, maybe Starscream (since scientists are probably considered upper-class), um... who else is there that isn't really "in" the group? Soundwave? It's just that generally the situation is reversed, and I didn't like that assumption that the "good guys" are way more chaste and/or more monogamous than the "bad guys" who normally are more into... er... less child-friendly activities.

14. But yeah, that does make sense. I mean, it'd be no different than any other immigrant who moves to a new country. They'd bring their own traditions and stuff and try to weave them into the traditions of their new home. (is reminded of Fiddler On The Roof).

24. I meant I haven't gotten that far. I'm writing a post 07au that has Optimus's sons being Hot Rod and Hot Shot.

26. That's just it. I don't know which to do or how to portray the story. That one will probably go on the back burner until I figure out just what exactly the details of their story is.

29. ...and now I need to make mention of that in my g1/07 crossover.

32. Or another autobot prankster. Your teeth come out as purple.

33. Random thought: how about both?
Another random thought: they're not brothers, and they 'walk' in on their parents...

34. 'the Sunstreaker'? (watches ego inflate) :) And then there's Hound, who's from the lower class, and fanon always puts him with Mirage, who's from the upper class...

14. Huh. People keep referencing that... I really need to see it. I was thinking of the American immigration that brought over the Chinese & Irish once you said that... hey, it's what we were studying before break!

24. Hot Shot? You don't see a lot of him in the fandom. *is intrigued*

26. Ah, well. I'll be patient.

32. That's slightly more reassuring than my idea.

34. *jaw drops* Oh dear Primus. The bunny has mutated.

34. Ha. Oops. Didn't mean to put "the" in there. *is wondering at subconscious' attitude towards Sunny*
Hound and Mirage. Wow, for a long minute there I accidentally switched the two's positions in society. It made too much happy sense that way *sighs* I doubt Mirage's willingness to 'face with any pretty chassis would help convince Hound of his devotion. I'm also picturing a really possessive Hound here. Really, their attitudes would depend on who's chasing who. Even if Hound had initial attraction, I don't think he would act on it, giving Mirage's promiscuity. But if Mirage suddenly showed interest... he'd still wait. He's a one-mech 'bot.

24. Armada was my first experience with Transformers, and though I'm more familiar with G1 because of the fanfics, Hot Shot is still my fave (aside from Jazz), so I figured, why not bring him in?

32. :D

33. yeah, I can just see it. Mirage grabs warp and unintentionally makes both of them invisible, just as warp 'warps' them to the wrong spot, and the room they warp into has one of their creators 'with' one of the other's creators... Where does my mind come up with this stuff?

34. Haha, I figured it was a typo. I was just giving you a hard time because the opportunity presented itself. Don't worry, I do that to all my friends, but mostly my brother and husband. (and they do it back)

and those are some really good ideas about Hound and Mirage, and also that would give the situation a plausible story.

24. I literally just started watching Armada a few days ago. It's... a bit painful, actually. Hot Shot was one of the few that were okay in my opinion. (I'm a huge fan of Red Alert, though.) Course, I'm only 6 episodes in, can't really judge yet... but Jazz is awesome in any continuity.

33. That's so funny! XD I'm hoping they're too young to really understand what's going on. Because then they ask their older friends what's happening... I'm picturing Starscream myself, getting all flustered about what the younglings saw. Who would a young Mirage be friends with? I saw a cute pic on deviantart where young!Mirage was with young!Moonracer (as siblings/friends).
Huh. I just remembered that in one of my semi-planned fics, Prowl was raised in Kaon. That's poor, right? (Course, so was Jazz in said fic...)
Primus! Red Alert would be too paranoid to share a berth with any 'bot. He'd be a good character to work with on this, too. (With Inferno :D )

24. Warning! Beware Armada Sideswipe. That was my biggest dissapointment in that series. (and yes, I like Energon Ironhide... for some strange reason. You'll see once you get there.)

33. Okay, now you've got me viewing Starscream as Skywarp's older brother.

If I remember correctly, Kaon is supposed to be 'the slums' of Cybertron. Another question you have to ask yourself: Jazz being Special Ops and from Kaon, do they ever 'interface' to obtain information? And if so: their personal and carreer perameters on the touchy subject.

24. I'm not sure I can muster the endurance to get to Energon, actually. This trilogy is the size of G1 and TFA put together, and not as good :(

33. Well, it would certainly explain that rivalry that the main trine shows so much. It's 'cause they're siblings.

Actually, Jazz is a youngling!thief in this, and Prowl's an enforcer newly transferred after the previous one tried to assassinate Sentinel Prime. I'm still trying to figure out whether I want this in G1 or the IDW comics; it'll affect how I change Jazz. It's about the equivalent of 1~2 years before the war begins, at any rate.

24. Just take it one episode at a time. I've seen all of Armada but haven't gotten to Energon yet. And before I had a chance to watch the episodes on my husband's computer, Cartoon Network decided to start airing Cybertron episodes (shortly before Animated started). Also, if it helps, In Japan, Cybertron is not part of the other two, they just 'said it was' in the English translation.

33. which actually makes a lot more sense than them being lovers in my opinion.

24. I think I'll just skip Cybertron, then. I do have a life outside of Transformers.

33. Skywarp and Thundercracker being a couple is far more reasonable in my opinion.
