Tea Garry

This bunny is a little bit on crack. It involves the sort of Pygmalion/Galatea or Gepeto/Pinnochio concept of the created being being given life and something like geishas.

This bunny started to nibble when I was trying to think of a traditional sparkling recharge tale that Cybertronians might know. I ultimately went with the Pinnochio-like Meccogio. During my development stage, I considered a Pygmalion like story in which there was a Cybertronian equivalent of Galatea (in the myth a statue who Pygmalion creates and then loves as his wife, who is later given actual life by Aphrodite as she was intrigued by the interesting form of love Pygmalion had.)

I was trying to think of how to make a Transformers style name based on 'Galatea'. One would think this easy, as they already use a lot of Greek prefixes and suffixes in their names. While I was brainstorming, I though of this derivation Galatea -> Galatra (too Galvatron) or TeaGala -> Tea Gara (through using that English to Japanese "l" to "r" that sometimes occurs) -> Tea Garry (ike Sky Garry).

I was supposing the "Garry" was loosely related to "carry" in some way. In any case "Garry" is part of established Transformer's name. And Tea Garry made me think of a character whose function is to carry "tea".

The on-crack part of this nibbling concept is that Transformers do not drink "tea". They drink oil or energon or whatever. Nevertheless, the very idea of there being an oil house with a Tea Garry automaton/drone (or multiple Tea Garrys) kept popping into my head. Oil Garry just doesn't sound as cute. Tea Garry just sounds cute to me, like Teagary (spoken with less enunciation between the parts, or slurred together). TeeGaree? Teagari? Tea Garry?

I just keep 'seeing' this sort of Skydancer/Ninjika geisha-like Cybertronian being called Tea Garry and actually serving beverages and entertaining guests at a respectable oil house.

But I can't get myself to write this, because I shy from throwing too many OCs or original things at readers (though I will completely mash together characters and concepts from the multi-verse into one 'verse and fic) and my locial mind is rejecting the idea as crack based on the fact that Transformers do not drink 'tea'.

All I can think to do is create the fanon notion that 'tea' is a Cybertronian word that means something completely different than an infusion of leaves from a specific plant indigenous to Earth. But, I can't think what that would be.

At this point I do not even care if there is the automaton given life plot, I just want to know what or who a Tea Garry is.

On another note, while researching the matter I found that Optimus and Primus are both brands of "classic camp stoves".

Weirdly, this suggests the character under the above cut may have an alt mode related to heating beverages while on campaign.
