IDW Bunnies. Please?

Jun 23, 2008 21:55

Riiiight...  I'm on an IDW kick right now.  Blame the Transformers Wiki - it made me crave Hunter.  Hence the reason you'll find that most of these bunnies focus on him, or at least include him.  Why, you ask?  Because I actually like the humans in this 'verse.  Generally I find them oblivious to the reality of their situation, but... Well, the humans in this verse aren't (mainly because the fact of their danger was shoved in their face.)  Not to mention that this is the only 'verse I've heard of where the humans really seem like people.

It should be noted that I'm not actually sure of the human characters ages, so I just put them all as teenagers.  I might still write some of these myself... But I need to work on other stuff, so hopefully I'll have exorcised the urge.

  1. Jimmy was glaring at Prowl.  “You just don’t get it, do you?  Do you realize that you didn’t just manage to pick up three kids - but you got three kids who are all fucked up on some level?”

  1. Jimmy was just a mechanic.  A mechanic supporting himself.  Despite the fact that he’s not of age yet.  The question is… Why?

  1. Jimmy, Verity and Hunter mourn the loss of the Earth.  (AU Setting where the Earth has been destroyed by Decepticons while the trio was off with the Autobots.)

  1. Suppose Hunter and Sunstreaker had managed to avoid being captured.  How does this change things?

  1. Is it possible to stop being a Headmaster?  Would Hunter be willing to go back to the way he was before?

  1. Verity and Jimmy realize that they are effectively useless to the Autobots.  One chat with Perceptor later and they… aren’t so helpless anymore.  Now, they have bones made of metal.
    1. Because the process was experimental, they find other parts of their body changing.  (i.e. a spark casing around their heart, their brains becoming mechanized, etc.)
    2. How do they feel about the fact that they’re not exactly human anymore?

  1. Ratchet makes Sunstreaker a new head, allowing Sunstreaker to remove his mind from Hunter’s.  How does Hunter handle this latest development?

  1. Ironhide, Ratchet, Jimmy, and Verity succeeded in rescuing Hunter and Sunstreaker.  Question is… what exactly was Machination doing to them?  And can Ratchet save them?

  1. They are all they have left - the last remnants of a species destroyed in a war between creatures much more powerful than themselves.  Most of the time, it is enough.

  1. IDW/G1 Crossover (or, if you want, IDW/2007 crossover).  The Autobots (and humans) from the IDW-verse find themselves on G1 Earth.
    1. How do they respond to the open warfare?
    2. Jimmy, Verity, and Hunter can’t believe how… oblivious the humans involved in the other verse are.
    3. This one’s supposing that they don’t yet know Hunter survived (personally, I just can’t stand to see him never regain contact with his friends.)  The G1 Autobots are forced to face the all-to-real dangers of their human friends life-style upon learning why the IDW Autobots are so ‘controlling’ of their humans.
    4. How do the IDW-verse characters react to meeting the G1 versions of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker?

  1. The Autobots failed once with Hunter.  They refuse to fail Jimmy and Verity as well.

  1. Prime and Prowl try to deal with the ramifications of their decision to send the humans home.

  1. Before being attacked, Sunstreaker and Hunter manage to have something resembling a conversation - on siblings.  Sunstreaker would swear by his brother.  Hunter will never really be able to forgive his sister.

  1. Bumblebee brings the humans beer in order to ask what it is.  Hunter freaks, leaving everyone else more than a little confused.

  1. On some level, Hunter is actually bitter about the fact that the Autobots turned out to be real.  After all - science fiction used to be his escape from reality and all the hard facts of life.  Now, it is his reality, and the facts of life are just getting harder.

  1. In order to restore the Verity and Jimmy after they were both dead for more than five minutes, Ratchet is forced to place them in cassettes.  Nice to meet you Howlback, Garboil.  (I’d imagine Verity would be Howlback and Jimmy Garboil in accordance with gender, but, hey, do whatever ya want.)

  1. Jimmy and Verity decide that Hunter had a good idea about becoming a Headmaster.  Now they have to a.) get the Autobots to agree and b.) find partners.  This might not go smoothly…

  1. Jimmy has a moment of panic when he realizes exactly what he’s gotten into.

  1. “Hey, Ratchet?  Why… Why are you so intent on helping us?  I mean - yeah, you’re a giant robot, and yeah, you live a lot longer than us, you’re a medic and you want us to be healthy but… You do realize that none of us expected to live to be thirty even before we met you guys, right?  It just doesn’t make that much of a difference to us."
  2. What, exactly, was Jimmy thinking when he realized that the shell they were looking at was not actually Sunstreaker?

optimus prime, jimmy, verity, prowl, ratchet, hunter, sunstreaker, idw
