Just a little one
Starscream is Unicron's youngest Creation cursed with the power to spread bad luck like a disease.
He causes catastrophes and tragedy (and not of the slapstick or hilarious sort) to every Cybertronian he meets and the closer he gets to somebody, the more severe the mech or femme will be affected by his power.
Even the Seeker himself isn't excluded from his ability, only his Cocreations and Creator seem to be unaffected.
After a short time on Cybertron, living the life of a normal mech, Screamer is sick and tired of his life and wants nothing do with anyone anymore, after all, he knows he will only cause them to suffer and/or hate him in the end.
But Unicron knows no mercy and so he has to live on...
The story progresses like canon:
War, Energon shortage, Earth:
But by now, Primus has become aware of his enemies' Creation and has decided it's time for a little payback. Starscream seems to be willing enough to get away from Unicron and after all, his dark brother DID steal his thirteenth Creation ages ago.
While he tries to find a way to give Screamer the Spark that will free him, Unicron is mad that the war by now seems to come to standstill. So he sents his older Creation (Sideways) to speed things up a bit.
Primus is not amused and Bots and Cons and Starscream are in grave danger.
Almost more than a plot bunny, I know, but hey, that's what my strange mind created.
