I admire the artist's tenacity in being rather pleased with their work, simply because a good artist needs a level of self confidence to continue their work and continue improving.
However I do hope they look back on this in a year or two and go OH GOD WHAT WAS I THINKING WHEN I THOUGHT THIS WAS AWESOME.
Because I know that's how I feel about my older work.
