So, let me preface this by saying that I know that there is maybe one other person in all of fandom who will get any amusement out of this. BUT.
I have made up a list of what sort of aquarium fish I think different characters from G1 would keep. 38 different characters, I think, including several humans, a fair number of Decepticons and a lot of Autobots. I am such a nerd, I know. I've provided my reasoning and a little blurb with each one, and hopefully it is not too obtuse, but I'm well-aware that it's pretty specific.

4. Bumblebee: Convict cichlids. They are tiny and extremely aggressive, and he gets some sort of satisfaction out of that. It helps that everyone expects him to have a community tank, or something like angelfish or tetras.
5. Chip Chase: Farlowella catfish. I'm not sure why, just that they seem like smart fish to me. Possibly because obscure, unattractive catfish seem to draw the socially awkward types. Don't get me wrong, though, I love them-they're slightly weird but very peaceful and delicate.
6. Chromia: Neolamprologus brichardi, the lyretail cichlid/princess cichlid/princess of Burundi/fairy cichlid/Brichard's Lamprologus. It is one of the prettiest, most feminine-looking fish out there, but at the same time, it is aggressive and more than able to take care of itself, even with other cichlids-it gets particularly defensive when protecting its young, which are raised by multiple generations in one big, happy fish family that will kick other fishes asses.
(Oh, and almost entirely freshwater, because that's what I'm familiar with. Sorry, saltwater people!)
