When one clicks a tag, it shows you all the entries that have been marked with that tag.
But not many seem to know that clicking the tag will actually only show the 1000 latest posts with that tag.
At the time of this post, the number of entries under the "fan fiction" tag is 983. 17 more posts and clicking the tag will no longer show ALL the entries under the tag, only the 1000 latest ones.
So, what are we going to do about this? Are you, the population of the comm, willing to put up with the fact that older fics will no longer be accessible through the "fan fiction" tag?
If not, I have a solution, clumsy as it may be.
The "fan fiction" tag will be renamed "fan fiction #1" (or similar) and a new tag, "fan fiction #2" will be created. After "fan fiction #1" gets filled, posts containing fan fics will get tagged "fan fiction #2", instead. If one doesn't want to figure out whether their fic goes to #1 or #2, they may simply tag the entry "fan fiction" (as the original tag got renamed), and the tag can be later edited to "fan fiction #1" or "fan fiction #2" as needed.
I ask again, are you willing to put up with the fact that older fics will no longer be accessible through the "fan fiction" tag? (I'd make a poll, but I don't have a paid account...)
