He coughed. Hair fell into his face, tickling his nose.
"Samuel James Witwicky."
Blood pounded in his forehead, so he leaned back against the seat. He looked around for the source of the voice. "Y-yes? Are you talking to me?" His lips were dry; he licked them.
"It's about time you woke from stasis." The voice seemed to come from everywhere at once, a deep commanding voice that belonged to someone older, powerful.
"Where am I?" he managed to ask. His weight shifted, and with dim horror he realized he was in a moving vehicle. Not even waiting for a reply, he scrabbled desperately for a handhold ( ... )
