First chapter in the latest story--Intermezzo. With the help of his cohort, Soundwave extends his influence in the Decepticons. (Almost) all cassettes, (almost) all the time! :D

Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Crescendo' in the 'Sound and Fury' series. It takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for starvation and dystopia in this chapter.
“Really?” the jumpframe whispered, as if he feared being overheard. For all his curiosity, it seemed that this kind of spying was new to the little mech, judging from the way his field flared with excitement/fear/suspicion at Ravage’s response. “But--why would you come here? Where is your carrier? Did he tell you to follow me? Am I in trouble?”
