Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Oratorio' in the 'Sound and Fury' series. It takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for violence in these chapters.
The inspector, the green and gray infiltrator, was thickly hazed with darksome coding, with curling, intertwined and barbed tendrils of -intent- and -subversion- and -deceit-. This mech was no innocent inspector, no reassigned petty bureaucrat here to check another item off his list. This infiltrator was here for a reason that had nothing to do with the mainframe, and everything to do with betraying the oaths he had sworn to service and the Lord High Protector--but unlike Retro, he was fully aware of that betrayal. This was no pawn, but a cyberhound on the scent of a mystery of his own.
