Characters/Pairing: ensemble; in this chapter: Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Sam, Jazz, Que, Red Alert, Blaster and the Giant
Warnings/Notes: Takes place after DOTM, with minor tweaks to movieverse events/characters (so there are minor spoilers for the third movie). Most of the characterizations will be taken more from G1--especially Optimus, who is *not* the 'kill 'em all, let Primus sort 'em out' character he is in the movies. Most of the onscreen 'deaths' of Decepticons and Autobots have also fallen victim to authorial override--see the fic for details. :) As always, many thanks to white_aster for her wonderful beta! Warning for nonexplicit references to mechpreg (of the very nonhuman variety) for this chapter.
Everyone got the lecture on transfer--’Welcome to Nellis. Keep your nose clean, your gear in order, and for the love of god, whatever you do, do NOT piss off the giant alien robots living next door.’ Of course, ‘next door’ meant a hundred miles and the better part of a mountain away, but everything was relative. And as far as military briefings went, he had to admit it was certainly different.
