I'm glad you included that scene about some of the Autobots having doubts about killing Thunderwing. Timely reminder of who the Autobots are.

Beachcomber insisted on that pretty strenuously, pretty early on. ^____^

Erg, poor Thunderwing, unwholesomeness, indeed O_o *does not cuddle, but pities from afar*
Poor Beachcomber! but good on him, and Glyph for questioning. and Prime ;_; Hmm, interesting that Tracks and First Aid were the two that chose to experience the sense of Thunderwing's spark. First Aid 'cause he's awesome like that, of course, but why did Tracks want to know?
Defensor had gone on to say that he could pin Superion in three throws out of five, which prompted a great deal of yelling over the radio from the Aerials.
*giggles* :D
*and worries, because if Superion got blown apart, what's gonna happen to Defensor?*
Heh - I just got an email the other day helpfully informing me about how Mars would be the closest EVAR next month, as big as the moon, etc. ^_~
M'kay. Back to bed. AS IF I CAN SLEEP AFTER THAT!!! *runs around flailing*

Actually at this point Rail Racer gets the worst of it, as far as the gestalts go. They all get knocked around certainly.
LOL! Mom sent me that one the other day too! Big as the moon, huh? Problematic!
Oh! Before I forget - and you might already have a resource like this, but just in case - I found a great site for figuring out where the planets are!

I had the month wrong the first time I dialed in for 2031, and Mars was almost at the opposite side of the sun and I thought, okay, humans will find that a little reassuring, then. Only it would be hard for anyone to spot anything going on with telescopes, what with that pesky sun in the way. Then I got the month in right and...oops, Mars is quite close! Meep! Scary but convenient! :D
::pats consolingly:: ^^;;;

OOOOHHHH shiney :D *adds website to favorites* I have some Starry Night Backyard software I got way back when that I use to map the night sky when I'm planning stargazing programs (or I did, back when I had time to plan stargazing programs, alas) - shows the planets, constellations, etc. for any date and location (even from other planets! Hmmm, the fic potential, I had not considered...)
The Solar System Live graphic is a nice demonstration the problem of showing the solar system to scale - one of my "one of these days" projects is to make a solar system hike in the park with everything to size - two miles from the sun to Pluto, and even at that scale Pluto's smaller than a dime or something :D Wheee!

I wasn't anywhere near being able to finish the battle itself, but I had all this prologue-y stuff done, so I tossed it up there.

i absolutely cannot wait to see how this all plays out.

I've been summoned for jury duty Monday - which will either be conducive to getting the rest of this chapter finished...or a hindrance. We'll see how it goes. I don't think I'll be allowed to bring my netbook, so any writing will be ye olde fashioned way. ^_^;
