MOD POST: Regarding Fan History Wiki

Dec 14, 2008 01:37

All right, all right, I'm up! This is your friendly moderator speaking~

Regarding Fan History Wiki - I'd like to specify that this whole "fiasco" that everyone's flipping out over is really off topic, and discussion relating to the (self-admitted) bottery and information gathering habits (pros and cons) should really be kept out of the community. (I'm only acknowledging this because I've gotten a few messages regarding beexsam and tf2007fun's links on there. No, don't delete it - there's nothing weird about linking to either community.)

I had a whole long thing written up, but I'll forgo most of my soap-boxing to instead state the following:

Please, everyone, remember that the internet is public domain, and unless you take the proper precautions, things you say/do/mention can be used against you later. So, please, remember to take precautions if you post something on the internet that you don't actually want the entire internet to see. This means making use of friends-lock, passwords on Photobucket, etc.

Now that I've exercised my modly/maternal rights, feel free to go back to your regularly scheduled Transformers!
