This was brought up in a comment in one of
sunny_and_sides posts. It didn't come out all adrenaline filled like I wanted it too, but it's a long shot compared to the angsty piece I wrote before.

Disclaimer: If I owned this shit... well, there'd be botsmut of course >:3
Summary: Prowl was supposed to have a regular patrol light... little brothers and their demands.
It was supposed to be a normal patrol night. He would travel the town for a while then return to base for a good recharge. Maybe, just maybe, if Primus really liked him, that recharge berth would have a small, Silver Pontiac in it as well. That had been his plans... until the familiar tugging of his sibling bond had gotten his attention. He grumbled and rolled forward morosely towards the tugging bond’s location.
Barricade always had to be difficult. Always.
The con, or ex-con, he didn’t know which his brother was anymore, had never really done anything to Prowl personally. He had made sure not to come in contact with Prowl during battle and he stayed very far away from Jazz. Prowl thought it was the younger’s way of gaining a little bit of forgiveness. He couldn’t stop being a con, but making right with Prowl mad him feel less the monster.
In turn, Prowl gave him a wide berth on the battle field, kept a cool indifference, and on more than one occasion set him free of Autobot imprisonment. This gave Barricade a higher status in the Decepticon hierarchy, and kept him from Megatron’s wrath. He was able o boast that he escaped right out from under Second in Command prowl’s nose.
The Charger was not without fault and was glad that his sparkmate understood.
He rolled to a stop under the overpass. The roads were fairly quiet, but even without the headlight illumination, he could still make out the powerful form of the Saleen. Barricade was made to look dangerous.
“Barricade, you know you’re not supposed to be this close to Tranquility.” he stated. The Saleen remained silent-Stubborn. Prowl sighed.
“Barricade, I am not in the mood to deal with this right now. Drive away now and I’ll pretend I didn’t see you.” Primus he was going soft.
Barricade still said nothing, but his engine came to life with a mighty roar. Prowl often took comfort in the sound of the horses under Barricade’s hood. It meant only one important thing to him.
Barricade had survived the worse. He was still alive.
“Barricade...” the Saleen moved forward slowly, engine purring as he nudged Prowl’s bumper.
“What are you doing?” he did it again.
“Knock it off.” Again.
“Barricade stop it.” Again, this time in impatience. Prowl growled.
“Stop acting like a glitch.” this time he did it harder in agitation. Prowl was ready to ram back.... until Barricade started doing circles around him. The charger recognized the behavior. Barricade wanted to race... he was bored.
“You could have asked...” he rolled forward, Barricade followed him excitement. He was beside him.
“Would you have agreed?” there was barely concealed anticipation in that deep baritone. Prowl revved his engine, trying out the Hemi. Barricade shook in excitement. Prowl chuckled. He never realized how much ‘Cade and Bumblebee had in common besides their age and ability to woo Prowl into giving into their activities.
“What are the stakes this time?”
“I win, you have to admit to Prime that it was you who magnetized Megatron enough to stick him to a wall for a few days.” Prowl snorted, that was Ages ago.
“If I win, you have to give Ironhide the exact whereabouts of his favorite plasma cannon.” Fair was fair. Both prizes had an equal amount of backlash.
“Deal.”
And at the same time, two police cruisers, a Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang took off down the nearly empty highway, lights and sirens flashing and blaring. Above them, on the overpass, sat a Peterbilt and a Solstice, watching.
“So.. When do you think they’ll realize they aren’t as secret and discreet as they think they are?” asked the Peterbilt. The Solstice snorted.
“Never.”
“Or that I already know who Magnetized Megatron?”
“Never!” The Solstice laughed. Then he went silent. “Do ya think we shoul’ stop em b’fore someone else fine’s out bout dis?” Optimus watched the two of them drift around a curve, neck and neck.
“Let them go, nothing should come between a bond strong enough to last an age old war... besides, If Sunstreaker and Sideswipe find out about this, they’ll know they can’t outrun Prowl OR Barricade.” The Solstice snickered again.
