Medbay is quiet, as it has been for a while now. She hasn't seen Ratchet and Bluestreak in ages, and their room was empty the one time she convinced the computer to unlock the door for her so she could check on them. All of the other residents seem to have gone as well, though Swoop stays so that she's not alone at night

Hearing Sari's voice during a lull moment of scribbling notes down, he looks up and smiles at the girl*
Hi, Sari, I'm over here. *pats the padded seat beside him as he shifts to give her room*

The way he immediately diverted his attention to her makes her feel pretty good too.
She flies across the room quickly and settles onto the bench next to Prowl. With a happy sigh, she snuggles against his side and hugs as much of him as she can.
I was lonely. There's no one at home anymore but me and Swoop.
She's not sure she really wants to talk about that, though. The piano is new.

*he murmurs in reply, sensing that the topic was an uncomfortable one at best. He lights up when she mentions the piano* yes! Very new. *he smiles happily, his voice filled with fond affection* Jazz got it for me, from the warehouse. Our Swoop helped fly it all the way here.
*gazes at the piano, visor glowing softly* its beautiful isn't it? I'm still not great at playing but I'm learning.

She frowns, but doesn't say anything. She's not going to spoil Prowl's good mood by whining.
Instead, she looks over the piano. Admittedly, she doesn't know much about them, but it does look nice.
It's really pretty. How long have you had it? Do you know any whole songs yet?

Smiling softly he shook his helm, gently touching the white keys* about a day now. So I've not had much chance to learn. *laughs quietly* does twinkle twinkle little star count?
*grins at sari. Music always helped lighten his spirits, maybe it would help hers too* want to help me play it?

Um... I've never played a piano before. She's surprised to realize that she's actually a little nervous at the idea. What if she breaks something? I only ever had that xylophone that Bulkhead gave me for my birthday.

And what do you mean, I'm singing? You're supposed to be the giant robot who memorizes everything after one reading. She's only mock offended at him. Most people don't know the words to that song, and she's not sure if she remembers all of them. It's been a long time since her dad sang her to sleep.
She hums a few bars when Prowl starts playing, then starts singing before he can tease her for not participating.

*plays the simple notes, smiling as she sings along, only to hit the wrong note, a flat note only a few keys in and scowls at the piano accusingly*

She's still smiling as she sings. And she doesn't quite realize Prowl has stopped playing for a couple of words. She giggles with embarrassment at herself while Prowl figures out where he went wrong.
She nods when he asks if she's ready. Yep. Let's go.

She's confident through the first verse, singing the words unhesitatingly. Switches back to humming as the first verse ends, trying to remember how the next starts.

The familiar sound of Sari's voice had the white mech smiling, and Jazz picked up two cups of tea and one of the smaller glasses they kept for the little femme, filling that with juice before heading back out to the main floor, pausing at the doorway to watch the pair for a moment.

*grins playfully, continuing the simple tune as Sari finds the words. Glancing up he spies Jazz standing in the doorway of the main dojo, from the living area and offers him a warm, welcoming smile*
Care to join us, I'm sure Sari would appreciate moral support with the singing

She peeks around Prowl when he invites someone to join them, and grins hugely when she sees Jazz.
Pleeeeeeeeeeease, Jazz? I uh... I kinda forgot the words.

He chuckled, crossing over to place one cup of tea on the piano for Prowl, handing the juice to Sari before leaning against one corner of the instrument, sipping his own drink.
"I did come across the original poem while on Earth, but I didn't exactly go looking for the lyrics to the song proper."

We can always try something you both know? *grins, fingers gently running over the keys*

She takes the juice from Jazz and takes a drink as she ponders Prowl's suggestion.
I dunno if we all know any of the same stuff. I mean, you're still pretty new at this piano thing. But it might be fun to try anyway.
