You may have heard that 14 Wisconsin Democrats have fled their state to avoid having to vote on a budget plan put forward by that state's Republicans. One of the Democrats, Senator Spencer Coggs of Milwaukee explained to the Chicago Tribune that "each day brings its own challenges" and that he has had to buy underwear and socks. According to Coggs, another senator has needed more contact lens solution. He further describes their current situation as "roughing it", explaining "It's sort of like being a refugee."
Seriously, I couldn't make this crap up if I tried. If I lived in Coggs' district, I'd run against him in the next election just to get his privileged ass the hell out of office. Hey here's another idea, why don't we send the Senator to Rwanda for a while so he can get a better feel for that word "refugee" he's throwing around.
