(no subject)
The usual "I feel like writing something cause it's been a while but I have nothing I want to say" post.
This apartment is freezing. I've been up for a long time but I've spent as much time as possible under my electric blanket. It's snowing outside. I still have a cold, my nose is going crazy and I am losing my voice and soooo don't want to go to work or out into the cold at all! But I already called in sick once last week and today would be bad anyway cause my assistants for the day are both new.
I finally got in contact with the woman from UIC's Education Dept, I'm going to meet with her on Monday. I love having connections.
Also, I got some amazing new sneakers yesterday - not running shoes, totally for show. Green with white stripes and a white toe. I'm going to keep them as white as I can! I wore them to work and watched in horror as one of the kids stepped on my toe.
I also got three down coats - gonna return two, obviously, but I wish I'd made the decision already so I could wear one today. I want to keep two but that might be silly, right? Hmm....
My upstairs neighbors are so loud sometimes, but mostly it's not even their fault it's just that their floors are so damn creaky. Someone is standing around right above my head and I can hear every shift in their weight.
Ohhhhhh I just want to stay in bed forever!!!! For today, at least, heh.
Ok, gonna venture out of my wing and into the rest of the apartment, which is even colder. I wish my electric blanket ran on batteries... or that i had a portable electric robe or something. And slippers. A whole suit.
