A glimpse of 18-year-old Jess

So I was looking at old entries and came across one of these dumb surveys, and read it to see how my answers would change if I were to do it now. Most of the survey is dumb, but it was funny to see the ones to which I'd answer the exact same thing. Also some of them are just funny. Here are some, complete with commentary. (The numbers are weird cause all the questions were grouped under different categories.)

6. What is your pet peeve? just one? rude people. [I'd have to add people acting like animals but, yes, rude people definitely are a huge pet peeve for me.]

1. What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't done in a long time? floss [was thinking about flossing right as I was reading this one hehe]

3. Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't: eva.. and shoshie! [the very two people I really need to call.]

5. Do you have an issue with your weight? haha. ha. [haha. ha.]

2. How many people have seen you naked (not counting physicians/family)? including all the people on 47th street when i forget to close the blinds? like 40. hopefully less. [now, the 47th street count has probably reached the hundreds...]

6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute? no, but i've been propositioned by a pimp. [true story.]

3. If you had one million dollars, what would you do with it? buy a car, buy lots of clothes and music, donate some, feel guilty for not donating more

7. How many MP3s are on your hard drive? no idea... 80? [awwwww....]

3. What thing would you like to accomplish in your life? really have an impact on the lives of the kids i'll teach. and somehow have the influence to improve school systems.

4. Do you get annoyed by coming in second place? yes. yes i do. [yes i do.]

7. What did you do today that you're proud of? i got along with my parents. [aww...]

3. If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be? maybe mrs. needlman.

5. What was the last promise you broke? i promised my mom i'd change the litter box.. [shit, I have to clean the litter box]

2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? living near my family, a job that i love, a loving spouse and kids. heh. and i guess financial security. and i hope for jaguar to make an xj8 sedan that is a convertible and has combined automatic and manual transmission. [heh]

6. Do you gamble? no, and i know if i did i would probably have poor judgement and lose all my money. although i did win a bet against zach levin the other day.
in the game of life, i gamble. [haha]

4. Would you ever consider joining the Peace Corps, Amnesty International, or another travel-inherent worldwide charity group? amnesty isn't travel-inherent, but i'll let that go. yes, i would. i'm applying to an americorps program for next year, still not sure if i'll actually defer. it's not international, but it's the same idea. [I never did send that application, I wish I had!!]

7. What's the greatest extent you've gone to help a friend in need? a friend in need is a friend indeed, but a friend with weed is better, a friend with breasts and all the rest, a friend that's dressed in leather.. that song just popped into my head. [haha I'd forgotten about that song]

3. Who is your favorite superhero, and why? wonder woman, because she's such a lesbian.

5. If you were to face the Wizard, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart? more heart. [I'd totally change this to courage. I already have too much heart!!]

6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do? just one? um.. slack off on my history and english papers at the end of last quarter. [some things just take a very long time to change...]

7. What did you learn today? i learned (as i periodically do) that it's really great to hug and kiss my dad. [this one's just nice...]
