There's a little light in the dark tunnel, though.
Did you see Joe's quickly put together draft of season 6?
In one ep, 'Revenge', the alien from FC/TLT might have come back, but in the next episode, number 17 or 18 or something on the list, there was 'Payback', another individual that would try to get the Lanteans down because they stopped his plans.
Now, Michael getting away with invading Atlantis but getting away without the baby might screw up his plans so badly that he does one last desperate thing, and die in the process of doing so, in season 6. It's a possibility.
But now, with there no being a next season, he might be dealt with in the movie, Todd should be in it too, and maybe that's a nice opportunity to get a Todd & Michael scene. Maybe there's history between those guys that they can develop then.
Haha, that makes me blissfully dream there would be such an SGA movie that IS the Michael saga, and if he comes to an end in that, I would be sort of okay (but not really) with that because it would still mean 2hrs of Connor Trinneer screentime. He needs MORE.
I also have my hopes up that this episode won't be the end of Michael, given it's 5x14, and considering it is Michael, if they do end him, he's more suited to 5x20. But my worry is that perhaps they redrafted it and changed the ending once they knew SGA was cancelled.
I very much agree that they're not using him enough. Especially in S&R, some people say he got dumbed down. I mean, how could he not expect the Lanteans to get in?
Getting him in the movie would be a more worthy ending for him, yes. It would still not be okay, like you say, but at least we can say he'd have survived the show!
And were he to die on Friday, *cry*, then perhaps we could come up with something like: "That's not the real one, right? Only an idiot would go into Atlantis, expecting to succeed with getting his woman and kid out!" aka, maybe he's sending in a clone... *g*
If you're looking for a more Michael/Teyla heavy season 5, I really advise you to check out cedargrove's story. Those two are meant to be. *g*
Now that you mentioned it, that is very true. Not only does Michael's character deserve better than a plot like episode 14 or the recent (lack of) screentime he's given, but he is also smarter than that.
Haha, I'm in Australia so I have to wait for Saturday to see it. Nonetheless, I am ridiculously excited!
And to be honest, I have sort of lost my Teyla/Michael love just a little bit. It may have had something to do with the constant rehashing of plotlines of late, but however, I still firmly believe that Michael does have a thing for Teyla. It is very sad its just unrequited.
Haha, I am just hoping that Michael will be alive at the end of this episode. That is all I want.
