Chaos comes to town
Teyfera fled the madness.
Her utter desire right now was to escape all thoughts of chaos, magic, and artifacts, and find someplace nice and quiet and hide for the next little while. Say the next three or four hundred years.
She ran as fast as she could and thought she was outdistancing the madness when there was a huge cracking sound, like thunder and the very earth beneath her feet rose up like a tidal wave. She was thrown outward, and as she came down, she crashed into water.
Near at hand, still dazed, she saw one of the ancient houses, at the edge of the isle. She swam over and climbed up, climbing to the top floor of the house, hoping to find a vantage point to see what was going on.
But even as she climbed quiet halls, she felt the whole things seem to jump and one half of thew house just... sheered away.
She was shaken from her hold on a banister and thrown towards a doorway, water lapping at it from the other side.
As she flew through the door towards the water, she closed her eyes and...
