a primer : for the layman, uninterested or uncaring

we were so let down by our election,
our neighbours' was so interesting and riviting,
and ours was an unwanted surprise, which left us pretty much back where we started before it.
We weren't happy there, and the disfuntional house has been the political story on cbc for a lot of years now...

So now, a quiet, co-ordinated and co-operative revolution.

For the good of Canada, with respect to the popular vote of Canadians.
This progressive coalition government could be a very good thing ...

Canada is a Social Democracy... we are a little bit socialist by our very natures.
Our Health Care system isn't perfect, and has been eroded in recent years,
but it's something we all agree on and believe in.
The NDP is the party that helped bring it to us.
(In fact Ed Broadbent himself may have been involved...)
Now, sure the Liberals are in rough shape. But the fact is, noone likes the Conservatives ... not even members of the CPC.

One hope I have. beyond some simple job-creation, help to major sectors of the economy and general infrastructure revitalization,
I would love to see Health Care get fixed.
Some provinces are making a mess of it, especially in rural areas.
Now I might have to wait until the BC Provincial election in May to see some change on this issue in my life, but I'd still like to see it become a federal issue, in the coming coalition government, to protect and improve our national health care and socialized medical system.

It would be cool if we could swear in the new 'coalition for canada' before Barack Obama takes the POTUS office January 20, 2009.
And it looks likely, though the next week or two will tell the timeline...
At this point the fall of Steven Harper seems inevitable, which is very good news to my ears.

Merry Christmas Canada. Happy Winter Solstice... it's the return of the light !
a ray of hope... coming soon!

The greens are in, so the new government has already re-enfranchised a million canadian voters!

Even if this only lasts a year or two, the last thing we want is another election... lets let the Liberals get their shit together first!
But... with the NDP, and working together with the other 2 parties, certainly the dream team is ready to lead.
