Even though I like how you inserted the double image, I'm not a fan of the border or the text. The border is too dark when your icon is all lightened purple, so it doesn't go well at all. the text is over Amy's face as well, and at all sorts of random angles, and doesn't work well with the icon. Try to make the colors match more, and make the text go together and position it better on the icon.
The script text, that masks Amy's face, is distracting to the overall icon; placement is sloppy. The yellowish light texture takes away from the muted colouring of the image; colours clash.
The black text around the box is awkwardly placed. The coloring is kind of weird for me, too.
Colouring is blah and the text looks odd, going into her forehead like that.
i really like the cropping of the image,but the colors look very washed out and the black and white brush/text work dont match the rest of the icon colors.maybe if you try matching the colors more it be great :)
It's not a pretty icon. Amy looks like she hasn't seen the light of day for a very long time. And the colors in the icon don't completment each other. It makes them look ugly. Also the box and font are the wrong colors. They should have been the same colors.
Reason: the text crosses the subject's face first of all. secondly the icon just seems to busy and the actual use of textures pulls the eye away from the subject it's self.
The coloring on this icon is just... really poor. I'm not exactly too sure what the icon maker was aiming at, but the purple/grey hue just really doesn't work. The font looks too spindly, and the small cropped picture of her in the corner is grainy and has little contrast. Additionally, the light texture was ill-used and the grey splotches in the middle of the lights is very unattractive.
I don't like because of the thick black border, the textures irk me because they've got grey where there should be white in the middle of the lights *sweat* yeah I'm fussy, and also don't like the placement of the text and the cropped bit. The white border stands out of a softly-coloured icon...
