Overtime Thoughts
I was offered the chance to work some overtime this weekend but turned it down as usual. It is very difficult for me to do it. My normal work schedule is from 4:00 P.M. to 2:30 A.M., monday through Thursday. If I took one or two days of overtime, those shifts would be on Saturday and/or Sunday, 5:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Not only would the shifts flip my normal schedule, they are two hours longer as well. So, Iavoid them because I am no longer young and my flexibility is greatly lessened.
I may have to rethink that though. I have some goals that I cannot reach otherwise. I want to increase my savings by $1000, I need a new chair, I need a new seat in my pickup,and I want a new stereo in my pickup. I also plan on getting either a Blu-ray or a PS3 soon. This all costs money. It will take more than just my normal income alone. So, I may have to suck it up and grind my way through some thoroughly unpleasant overtime. It really is not fun to earn your stuff.
