Yay! I finished this up last week, but didn't get photos taken until today. Between Pyr's sinus infection/root canal issues and the wonky weather I too now am having sinus problems.

It's has some wrinkling that may or may not have been my posture. I'm not sure, but other than that I'm happy with it. It's lightweight and very drapey. I didn't put any of the usual interlinings in it because the wool was so pretty in its drape that I couldn't bear to stiffen that up.

I used only what I had in my stash! The wool came from my mom about two years ago, she found it at a yard sale and picked up 4 yards for me. I have enough left over to make a skirt, which is the current plan. The lining is a silk charmeuse that we bought in bulk from Dharma Trading last year when Pyr and I were working on dresses for The Phoenix Rises. It was first dyed a light grey, then we drew on it in candlewax, another dye bath in a dark blue, then some sienna brown spots to help darken it. It came out differently than I wanted but it was a good thing. The buttons are mother of pearl that were in a Singer Treadle sewing machine that had been donated to the costume collection I interned at two summers ago. I was told that if I cleaned it out, I could keep what I wanted.

So there, that is what I've been working on the last couple of weeks, sewing-wise. Next up to finish is the new stays, a chameleon skirt, and hopefully reshaping a straw hat.
