Effing Movie Maker!
I've been working for hours on an MiS vid (topic: what if Ash and Scribbs made a video to tell people what their show was about?) but the bloody program has started crashing on me every ten seconds. I've lost patience. I'll try and pick it up again tomorrow.
I have not written a word all week, which is very bad, but I have outlined my ashscribbs ficathon story. I just can't seem to concentrate. When I sit down at the computer, I'm compelled to surf YouTube for Hospital Central clips (another new fandom, just what I need! and trust me to come in just as the pairing is splitting up) and then for translations because No hablo español. Now this MiS video idea has snuck up on me. And when I try to write by hand, elsewhere, I get distracted by my Bad Girls DVDs, newly arrived from Amazon UK (at a pretty good price, except for the $20 in border charges I wasn't expecting). Plus the weather turned gorgeous here and I actually laid out in the sun on my balcony for a bit today.
But I'd better get my butt in gear. The ficathon piece, as I've outlined it, is going to exceed the minimum word count (1000) significantly, and will not be written overnight. Plus I really should leave time for beta reading. So -- after this video is done, all other fannish projects are on hold until the ficathon story is done.
