moving in
I've decided to move here for real. I now have two (2) friends posting to LJ, which is more than seem to be sticking around on dland. also, since my dland page is locked, the only people who can follow me here are people I'm willing to have see my stuff. and finally, I gather it's possible to make certain entries visible only to certain people, if I take the time to figure it out, and that would be convenient, because then I could tell people about this page and still talk about them behind their backs.
In current news, I'm sitting on my couch eating red lentils and waiting for the quinoa to "fluff." I've never made quinoa before, so I'm trusting the cookbook with respect to letting it sit for 15 minutes after cooking. To "fluff." But I'm awfully tempted to go ahead and eat it now, because it's very tasty. I was going to add broccoli, but it's so good on its own that I just added some butter.
reading: Whipping Girl (interesting) and the 4th Ringworld book (not quite as gripping as the first 3, but that might be due to my preoccupied state rather than any fault of the book). Need to finish both soon, as a coworker lent me a book a couple weeks ago that I haven't started, and G. got me a manga called "Chibi Vampire" that he really wants me to read. Damn job cuts into my reading time. G. and I have been watching "To Play the King," with Ian Richardson, sequel to "House of Cards." Fabulous.
Now I could do some work for work, clean my apartment, or pour a glass of wine and grab a book... so many choices... there's a case to be made for cleaning, if only because I can't get to the china cabinet where my wine glasses are, but I think I'll hazard the climb and have my wine and reading.
