Celosa and stuff

So there's nothing wrong with Celosa. At least medically. Her urine is good. Her poop is good. Her tick serology came back good. There's no medical reason that she should be freaking out about her shaved butt.

I joke that she has the most lubed ass in our part of Montrose. We've tried Desinin, Aquaphor, medicated vaseline lotion, Neosporin, topical Benadryl. This weekend, I tried putting an after-waxing soothing oil on her. I'm beginning to think that she's doing this so we'll rub her butt.

She is improved a little in her movement. She's moving a bit more, running a little before she remembers that her butt bothers her. Graham reports that she ran to the living room by herself this afternoon which is something she hasn't done since this whole saga started a week ago. I suspect by this time next week, we'll act as if this embarrassing period never happened.

In other news, it was a nice weekend. A good hunk of it was spent watching Star Wars with Celosa, as I like to watch ambitious DVD projects when I'm sick, so I assumed Celosa would like the same. Plus, she's never seen it before. We also went to an opening in the Heights during the White Linen night, and my parents hosted the after-party for our friend John, whose work went on display at Wayne Gilbert's G Gallery.

Sunday, we brunched with friends, took a nap and then went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Imax. I'm still digesting. I feel like a lot was left out, but it's been two years since I've read the book and I read all seven in a row then, so my memories are a little iffy. I generally liked it, though.
