Week two pictures.

This is one of Celosa's brothers.

The stuffed animal has been positively identified as a mouse. If you look at the pictures from last week, the mouse helps determine scale. As of Saturday, the puppies were three times their birth weight.

I'm pretty sure that Celosa is the one in the middle, though it's sort of hard to tell who is who. Apparently their eyes opened up in the last few days, and they're starting to scoot around. Their primary activity, though, is sleeping and eating. Next week, they're going to start trying goat's milk, so as to give their mama a bit of a break.

In four weeks, Graham and I will go to see Celosa for a socialization playdate. We'll get to hold her and generally give her and her littermates a chance to see other people before they leave their mama. I'm so looking forward to it.

Graham and I watched In the Womb: Dogs on the National Geographic channel late on Friday night, and it was pretty cool to see the fetal development of puppy dogs, knowing that Celosa was there three weeks ago.
