Reunited and it feels so good.
My baby sister just passed over New Mexico airspace, according to Continental.com. She and Chicken are coming to visit for about ten days and I can't wait to see her.
Relampago will be overjoyed to see Chicken again. As you may remember, Relampago fell deeply in love with Chicken when they met. We spent 20 minutes this morning talking about it, and I think he knows something's up.
I suspect that the love has endured. He met a dauchsund named Millie two weeks ago at my birthday party, and he fell similarly in love. Wanted to be around her at all times, howled when she was picked up, became obsessed. It was pitiful. Millie was not as enamoured with Relampago as he was with her, so I'm hoping that Chicken will be more open to the May/December romance that Relampago tends to like. Otherwise he ends up looking like the dirty old man on the playground.
Crianza is not thrilled. She pouted when Millie came over, and she's generally not a fan of any dog that's potentially cuter than she is. She's ok with bigger dogs, as she played with a boxer named Tyke last week (and got stinky in the process), but little dogs freak her out a bit. I suspect that she'll try to bond with Zapata while Chicken's here, but he's surprisingly pro-Chicken.
It'll be an interesting week. I have a triathlon in nine days, and I have to do some training for it. I also have Burning Man stuff to do, and my friends want to go see Sex in the City sometime this weekend as a girls night thing. And my father's birthday is tomorrow.
